My husband Mark and I stayed in the flat on John Adams Street last month. The flat was perfect. We were both surprised at how busy and noisy the street was late at night. Neither of us expected that. However, the noise wasn’t noticeable at all in the bedroom. It was dark and quiet. I have to say that the bed, cover and pillows were extremely comfortable – it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! We just wanted to burrow under the covers.
The flat was just right for two people and was very cozy.
The couch was very comfy as well. The fridge kept our food cold, the microwave worked great, the kettle was super for making hot tea daily. There are no complaints.
I do, however, have a suggestion for the bathroom. You may want to consider putting in a small step stool somewhere in the apartment. I’m 5’2”, and trying to step out of the tub after showering was a bit of a challenge.
But the location of the apartment was perfect. A few minutes walk in either direction to Charing Cross station or Embankment station to catch the tube. We could not have picked a better place to stay.
Cristina, the let in manager, was very helpful in getting us settled in. She answered all our questions and was great to work with.
If we ever get to go back to England again, we will be using London Connection again.
Thanks for the wonderful stay. We enjoyed it immensely.

We had a wonderful time in London and the flat was perfect! The location and its amenities worked really well for us. We will definitely contact you again when we’re planning to visit London.

We had a wonderful time. We have been going to London for many years – have stayed in the Presidential apartments and in SACO but our London Connection apartment was the best yet. It was great to be met by David Norman just outside Immigration and he loaded our luggage into his car. It was also great to have somebody meet us at the apartment and explain the appliances etc.
We found it a very quiet apartment considering the location.

We had a problem with the modem which was quickly resolved the next day.

Location was superb – best yet in all our trips to London over the years. We enjoyed fish and chips at Villiers and a nice dinner at Cote bistro in Covent Garden.

We are already planning a return trip next May for a week.

I will be glad to recommend your company to our friends.

We enjoyed staying at the flat. The location was ideal for us-with easy access to theaters, excellent restaurants nearby, and places/museums we were interested in visiting. The flat was comfortable and cozy for two people. We will definitely stay there again should we go back to London in the future.

We had a great stay in London. The flat is in such a great location. I loved being able to walk across the river, catch a train or get some great food within literally 1 minute of the flat. We walked and tubed all over the city in the 4 days we were there. The food was incredible and the people of London were super friendly.
The flat was clean and had everything we needed. We felt safe and comfortable there.
Thanks again for everything and we will definitely stay with your company again when we return to London.

First visit to London. The 1 bedroom flat was just perfect. Clean as a pin, walking distance from most theaters and very close to the tube and everything else. Any small problem was promptly taken care of over the phone. Definitely a must for any stay in London. I would strongly recommend it to anyone for a complete London experience.

    7. Mary

The flat and connections were perfect. We are always surprised by the location and its proximity to the things we want to see in London. Villiers Street and Charing Cross so near but absolutely quiet at night with none of the street and station bustle heard as we sleep.

One tiny suggestion: it would be good to have a grab bar in the tub. As we age, we notice the big step in and out of the tub and I think the owner might find that small safety improvement might be a good thing.

Things we enjoyed whilst in London though I don’t know if these will continue so can’t give ending dates. A fabulous play THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT TIME! So good we decided not to see another play lest the experience diminish anything that followed! Painters Paintings in the Sainsbury Wing, butterflies at the Natural History Museum a perfect joy for all ages, great classical concert at St. Martin in the Fields.

So thank you all again. We’ll be back!

    8. Tom

Great trip, great experience. We visited so many places, probably all the usual touristy places. The flat was great, location is very convenient.

Our two weeks in London in May were absolutely superb. So much of the pleasure was due to the phenomenal location of the 1-2 Villiers St. flat. Being just steps away from Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, The National Gallery, St Martin’s in the Fields and numerous theaters was fantastic. We could walk out of the flat and be immersed in history, culture the South Bank, Leicester Square within minutes. And when we travelled further afield, returning on the Tube to Charing Cross or Embankment was such a bonus, those stops being not even 2 minutes from the flat.

The flat itself was perfect. Comfortable, quiet, efficient, plenty of closet space, workable kitchen and laundry. The neighborhood offers a nice variety of restaurants plus a few grocery shops and a Boots.

The service we received from Ricardo and Cristina was terrific. They enabled friends and family to deliver special anniversary gifts prior to our arrival, they were responsive to our needs (a burnt-out lightbulb was replaced very quickly) and the cleaning of the flat was adapted to fit our schedule.

This is our fourth London Connection rental and now that we are traveling as just a couple, Villiers Street will be our flat of choice in the future.

The flat in London far exceeded our expectations. It was very comfortable and being able to cook our own meals when we wanted to was so convenient. The flat was spotless and we had lots of towels and kitchen supplies. Having WiFi was an added bonus and allowed us to stay in touch with home. We intend to return to London in 2017 and hopefully that the same flat will be available.

It took us a couple of days to sort out the best place to buy groceries. Having the list of supermarkets helped. The location of the flat was perfect and public transportation was so accessible. One of our excursions was to the Royal Air Force museum in north London. We walked to the Embankment station from the flat, and took the tube out to Hendon. There we caught a bus that took us right to the front door of the museum. A taxi would have cost us £50 or more.

The recommendation to get an Oyster card was absolutely correct. We took the first day to ride the buses that stopped near the flat to learn where we could go above ground. That helped us to find our bearings and learn what was close by.

I can’t say enough good things about the driver who picked us up at Heathrow. He was wonderful. Not only is he an excellent driver but he gave us great advice on places to see and visit. He was extremely helpful and patient as our flight was delayed by an hour.

This was our 3rd trip to London and the experience of the staying at the flat is far superior to staying at a hotel!

The whole experience was wonderful. Our only challenge was the washer/dryer but eventually we got that right on the third try.

I would like to express how happy I am about the whole experience of renting the apartment in London with your Company.
Everything from the beginning to the end was a smooth practice.
All the people I contacted were extremely professional, the apartment itself was perfectly located and clean, with all items that made our stay so comfortable.
It has been a pefect experience and I hope I can repeat it soon. I will definitely recommend to my friends.
Best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    12. Leigh

We greatly enjoyed our trip to London and staying with London Connection. The pick up from the airport and delivery to the flat was seamless. The location was ideal.
Should we find ourselves returning to the area we will certainly use London Connection once again and will highly recommend to our friends.

    13. Francois

My family loved our stay in London. The flat we stayed in was just perfect. We were very well greeted at the flat, the gentleman explained everything and answered any questions we had. The flat was very clean,
the bed was very comfortable, my son loved it. My husband slept on the pull out bed and tells me that is was not too bad. We used your taxi service to drive us to the airport, he was very nice and on time.

One regret we have is that we did not better plan our visit to Kew Gardens. We did not realize just how big it was. You need a full day, especially if you have children. I highly recommend Kew Gardens.
St James park is a nice way to walk towards Buckingham Palace. Must visit the gift shop at Buckingham Palace, a little pricey but really nice souvenirs.
We had a drink at Sherlock Holmes Pub, not too far from the flat, we really enjoyed that; too bad seats outside were taken, but the inside was very nice.
Five Guys is an absolute must!!
There is a souvenir shop right outside of Embankment (the tube), on the left side of the street, a wide selection of souvenirs and well priced.
Crossing the bridge (Embankment tube) over to Southbank gives a nice view of Big Ben and London Eye.

    14. Larisa

We had a wonderful stay at 1-2 Villiers Street. The flat is small but comfortable well stocked with all necessities. There was even an electricity converter which worked better than the one we brought. Our 8-year old daughter was comfortable sleeping on the sofa in the living room. The flat is very centrally located and within walking distance from most of the major attractions: Trafalgar square, Thames, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.
There are also 2 tube stations within 1 minute from the flat. There are tons of great restaurants nearby; we had dinner at the Savoy Grill, The Brasserie at Charing Cross and afternoon tea at the Charing Cross Hotel. We also went to a concert at the St. Martin in the Fields. We used the transportation service recommended by London Connection and it was very convenient. Ricardo, who met us at the flat was very helpful and provided some great tips. When getting ready for the trip, I also read some of the blog posts by Thomas which were helpful. I loved staying at the flat as opposed to in the hotel, it’s a completely different experience.
We had a great stay in London overall thanks to London Connection. Our trip was somewhat marred by the return flight but that’s a different story.

    15. We spent 10 days of May 2014 in the 1-2 Villiers Street flat and found it extremely comfortable and convenient. When we were looking on the web at a variety of flats Cristina accommodated our special wishes with good humor and showed a London friend through two or three flats before she recommended this flat to us. She made a perfect selection. Our main criteria were near Covent Garden area, since we are elderly we wanted to be near busses and have a flat with a lift.

The good points are its location – across the street from Charring Cross Station and tube station, one block from Embarcadero tube station and on several bus routes that could get us everywhere we wanted to go. There are three convenience stores within half a block and a larger food store in the main Marks and Spencer at Covent Garden. I found a Whole Foods within walking distance near Picadilly Circus.

Culturally, the flat is one block from the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery and even closer to St. Martins in the Fields which had numerous concerts. There are many theatres within walking distance and most others easily reached by bus or tube.

It is a perfect flat for a couple. There is a sofa-bed in the combination kitchen/dining/living room in case there is an occasional snorer but that room is on a very noisy street and would be a difficult for full-time sleeping . The bedroom is in the back of the flat so when the door to the living/dining/kitchen room is closed it is perfectly quiet. All the appliances seemed to be new when we stayed there and the flat was very clean and appeared to be newly painted. My only complaint with the flat was that the light in the bathroom was inadequate but maybe that was effective in concealing wrinkles.

The staff at London Connection is extremely responsive from the initial search to bringing a broom and dust-pan! Any time I emailed them I received a quick reply. We would definitely use this company again and request the same flat if we return to London.

I stayed at Villiers Street the week before Easter with my 16 year old son and 9 year old daughter. The property was clean, had a sofa, chair and table with three chairs in the kitchen/living area. Large closet space in the bedroom. We took turns sleeping in the bedroom or on the pull out sofa. We used the Waitrose online food ordering that London Connection recommended to stock the kitchen with breakfast foods and snacks and it was very easy and nice to have it delivered. But there were also several shops within a very short walk were we could have purchased food items as well. The location was perfect. We were right next to two tube stations and withing walking distance to so many wonderful attractions. The kitchen was very well stocked. It was great to have a washer and dryer because we packed less and washed clothes so we could make purchases in London and still be able to carry our suitcases on the plane. The staff was extremely helpful, responsive and accommodating. Our driver to and from the airport was on time and helpful as well. I would definitely stay here again.

    17. Peggy

I recently stayed at Villiers Street for 5 nights. The central location cannot be beat. Access to several mini markets for food, 2 tube stations at your doorstep (3 if you don’t mind walking over the Thames to Waterloo) and just minutes to Covent Garden. The flat is super comfy. The living area is bright and cheery while the bedroom is at the back, so away from street noise (although the pigeons who roost in the back alley are a bit active in the morning!). The kitchen has everything needed (including tea) for a week’s stay. My only suggestion would be better lighting in the bathroom. While the light in the shower is great, the lighting over the sink is a bit dark. I hope to stay here again!

    18. Barbara

Recently returned from our stay at Villiers Street. The property was perfect for 2 people. It was so convenient to Embankment and Charing Cross tube stops. The property had the easiest washing machine that I have in any of the properties I have rented. Everything was in tiptop shape. The let in to airport pickup went smoothly as usual.

    19. Wayne

Now that we are back from our trip, we just wanted to drop a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our experience. The flat on 1-2 Villiers Street was fabulous, and we would love to stay there again. The location was perfect!

As you know, we experienced some travel issues on both ends of our trip. These could have had major impacts on our trip, particularly if our delays could not have been accommodated by you and your staff. Throughout these issues, you were extremely responsive and flexible, and helped tremendously in easing a difficult situation. We cannot express how appreciative we are in your assistance! In planning any future trips overseas we will definitely look to you first.

    20. Mary

Villiers Street is a perfect flat in an amazing location! Although close to all the noise of the Trafalgar Square area, the apartment is quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this small flat for a couple, or a person traveling solo. We really enjoyed our week at the Villiers Street flat.

    21. Doris

We LOVED the Villiers Street property. This is the second time we’ve used London Connection and knew we could rely on the friendly driver to be at the airport for pick-up and could depend on him being there for the return trip to Heathrow. Love that feature of your agency.

The property seemed new and was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed (including free WIFI) and we enjoyed staying there. Good water pressure, lots of towels, plenty of closet space, comfortable couch and a great TV. The kitchen was stocked with anything you’d need, but the washer/dryer was a life saver! We had everything for a 7 nt. trip packed into 2 carry-ons – this was only possible because of that washer/dryer! There was a lot of revelry on the street at night (even someone singing opera one night), but once you closed the door to the living area or the back bedroom, you couldn’t hear a thing. Quiet neighbors – never heard them. Nice secure entry, also.

But the best part was the location. It was right in the center of everything – a 5-10 min. walk to the two theaters we attended, and easy tube line access to everywhere we went. After some full day tours, it was so nice to leave the tube station and to walk less than 2 minutes to get home from either of the 2 nearby stations; AND being able to stop for a meal on Villiers St. on the way – there were even several good sandwich pickup options that we enjoyed. The pub on Villiers St. had great food, too (upstairs dining room with separate entrance). The Thames was a short 2 min. walk, with the Footbridge being right there if you wanted to cross the river.

I might also note that I saw several rental properties on this same street with other agencies for much higher rates on the internet.

We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

    22. Deidre

I enjoyed staying in the flat. The location was excellent, the flat very clean
and well appointed and most importantly comfortably heated. I would certainly stay there again. I have
been staying in your apartments for more than 10 years and this is probably my favourite.

    23. William

we loved the place. I thought no place would exceed the flat on Brooks street we rented for the preceding 2 years but this flat was very bit as nice and the location even better.

    24. Basil

The location could not be better – at Trafalgar Square.
The location could not be better – Underground 1 block away.
The location could not be better – Thames 2 blocks away.

The apartment was in excellent condition. The appliances, furniture, bathroom are all up to date and in excellent condition. The area was very safe and the building was very secure.

    25. Ed

      Eveything was fine.
Our check in was very thorough and informative.
The room is right next to the Charing Cross station so we were able to take an easy daytrip to Canterbury that was wonderful.
Location was great. Unbelievably close to everything for a first time visit to London.

    26. Larry

You and your staff do an excellent job. This stay was my third or fourth and as always everything went smoothly. The flat was in a central location with easy tube access and within walking distance of the Thames (we had booked a dinner cruise). The amenities at the property were exactly as advertised and meet all of our needs perfectly. The reviews noted that the night time was a bit noisy, but it didn’t bother us in the least. At the suggestion of the check-in person, I actually booked a return car to the airport and that worked very well. All in all we had a wonderful time. It is a shame, as I know you once had properties outside of the UK, that you didn’t have accomodations in Rome as that is where we traveled next. Thanks again for the wonderful job you do and I look forward to visiting London again next year. If you ever have properties outside of the UK, please let us know, as I, for one would love to take advantage of these. Warmest regards,

    27. Colleen

Vincent and I had a wonderful time in London and this was largely due to where we stayed.
Our apartment was amazing! It was a lovely, very clean, very comfortable apartment.
It’s location was brilliant!!! Charing Cross Station, Trafalgar Square, The Strand, The Thames, Covent Garden Market….everything was so close!!! The Hop On-Hop Off bus was very close and was a wonderful way to to see London. Public transport was also almost at our doorstep, which was handy. However we were also able to walk to lots of places very easily….Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, Westminster Abbey, the river and so many more places. And walking allowed us to see so many different houses, buildings, pubs and awesome architecture.

Our arrival and check-in was excellent!!!

Our departure was just as easy. We simply walked the few steps to Charing Cross Station to get a train to St. Pancras Station to catch the Eurostar to Paris.

Thank you so much for your service. Everything was perfect from booking to paying to arriving, staying and leaving. Our only disappointment was that our stay wasn’t long enough!

I would happily recommend the apartment and The London Connection to anyone travelling to London. This was the first time I had ever organized anything like this on the internet and you made it extremely easy. Thank you very much.

    28. Mary

Jim and I want to thank you for the wonderful London Connection. The 1-2 Villiers Street was perfect for our trip. Location, location, location. Four plays in six nights! On and on. And your driver Maureen–fabulous!!

      Thank you again.

    29. Sharon

What a wonderful experience I had in London thanks to The London Connection. This was my fifth trip to the UK in the past 2 years, and The London Connection made it one of the best. I was met right outside of Customs by their representative and taken directly to my flat. I was met there by another representative, who explained in detail everything I needed to know about the accommodations. The flat at 1-2 John Adams was in immaculate condition, and very spacious compared to other places I’ve stayed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom fairly large (lots of towels!)and the kitchen was stocked with everything I needed. Although located on a busy street, the bedroom was located in the back which kept the noise level to a minimum. The flat is within walking distance to many locations. A quick 5 minute walk finds you in Covent Garden and it’s only a few more minutes to Leicester Square. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, with the mandatory Starbucks and McDonald’s right around the corner! There is a Tesco (market) a few blocks away and smaller shops close by. I made this trip without my husband, and never felt uncomfortable about staying in this location alone. The flat is extremely secure. I had made arrangements to be picked up for my flight back to the U.S., and was met right on time outside of the flat. I could not have asked for a better trip. I will definitely use The London Connection again.

    30. Wayne

Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time in London. The Villiers Street flat was perfectly located, quiet and clean. Both the taxi driver who picked us up at Heathrow and Cristina who let us into the apt. were very helpful.

We will keep London Connections in mind for our future trips to London.

    31. Jon

Totally excellent from start to finish. A really good location. Everything worked as advertised. A little noisy but that’s what you expect with that very central location. Another good rental from The London Connection
