1-4 West Street | Covent Garden

Be part of London’s energy in this elegant Edwardian building directly across the street from Palace Theater, home of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!

Cambridge Circus for those traveling to London for theater, clubs, and restaurants, this is the center of the world. A stroll from Cambridge Circus down Shaftesbury Avenue to Piccadilly Circus is one of the most exciting walks in London; you will pass ten theaters with some of London’s most exciting plays and musicals. Trafalgar Square is a five-minute walk, and the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey are an easy walk. The National Gallery and St. Martin-in-the-Fields are close by and will offer exhibitions and concerts unequalled in London. Six out of every ten visitors choose to stay in this district of the city. The Palace Theater is also on Cambridge Circus.

The one bedroom apartment has just been redone to a very comfortable standard. Because the apartment is located in a very active part of London, the windows have been covered with double glazing so the flat is quiet and comfortable. The LIVING ROOM has comfortable furnishings with a SOFA BED which can be used by an additional visitor if occasionally required. There is excellent lighting and a flat screen TV. The BEDROOM has a UK Super King size bed which can be changed into two singles and good storage. The BATHROOM has a shower over the tub, wash hand basin, and loo. The KITCHEN has all machines including washer/dryer, dishwasher, oven and hob, and fridge/freezer. This is an excellent accommodation and perfect for visiting London when considering location, budget, and standard. For two persons (third person on a sofa bed) it is perfect. The flat is on the 3rd floor with a LIFT to the apartment. Very, very nice accommodation. High speed wireless internet is included. Property is designated non-smoking.

If you are traveling in a LARGE GROUP, there is another 1 bedroom flat, a two bedroom flat, and a 3 bedroom flat in this same building. So up to 14 people traveling together can stay in the same building, and that is a wonderful possibility for families traveling together.

I would like to open with the fact that I have personally been involved in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and still am in an industry that provides services to hotels and resorts. I love hotels and the decision to go with London Connection when it came to booking our trip, was quite simply a “no brainer”.

My husband and I were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we knew we wanted to do something that we could check off of our bucket list. Britain has always been a love of mine from a very little girl, but the opportunity just never arose to be able to travel there. We started planning our trip in March and I remembered on Facebook that I had been following for many years, a company called London Connection. The posts and oversights on travel to London by the owner and his wife were genuine and you could tell that they had a true love for London. We decided to book with them and it is a decision we will never regret.

We stayed in Covent Garden, which Tom had recommended to us as it was our first trip to London. I was a little hesitant, as I always thought that I would prefer to stay in the Mayfair area. But, he really seemed to know what he was talking about, so we went with his suggestion. It was spot on! Anyone who has any apprehension of traveling with London Connection should rest assured that this is the way to go to really live in London and experience it as a native. Leading up to our booking we would get frequent hints and tips that we would apply to our plans, they were very much appreciated as well. We opted to use David Norman for our transfer service to and from LHR. The service was impeccable, friendly and professional. Our arrival was seamless, as we got close to our flat, our driver called ahead to let them know we were on our way. When we arrived we were greeted by Peter. Extremely friendly, put us at ease immediately, explained the workings of the flat with tips and hints for the area as well.

The flat consisted of 1 bedroom with a pull out in the living room, a nice size kitchen for two and a nice size bathroom and living room. We looked directly out onto The Palace Theater and could people watch all day from our windows in the kitchen and bedroom (which were double paned for noise reduction, it is quite active in this area and noise can be a factor) We literally enjoyed the hustle and bustle. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs or a white sound machine.

It was clean, well thought out in it’s amenities and very well stocked. There was a small washer/dryer combo (only do very small loads if you plan on using it). Tesco, the local grocery store is no more than a 5 minute walk. Restaurants, theaters, shopping, sightseeing, tube station and the bus station are literally at your door step.

We also purchased the travel insurance that is offered through London Connection. I would highly recommend it. My husband fell ill in the middle of our trip and had to have a doctor pay a house call to the flat. The insurance company coordinated the doctor and referred us to the proper people that were very attentive and caring and the doctor (who looked like Ben Kingsley) was wonderful. The whole visit and medicine was covered by the insurance. You just never know what may happen.

We also had the opportunity to meet some of the wonderful staff that works from the Utah home office. They were staying in the same building as we were and it was a lucky thing for us as they were able to help us out with an issue right then and there. If they would not have been there, Christina was our London contact and she would have been able to assist as well and was equally as attentive and professional and even paid us a visit the next morning to make sure that things were in order.

All in all, we are now homesick for London. We are already planning on our trip back and look forward to staying with London Connection again. Thank you Tom and all of the staff at London Connection. You have made me seriously reconsider going back into the hospitality business. Working with you and seeing the passion that you all have for your company and your guests is what it should be all about. It is hard to find in this day and age. We will never forget this trip! All our best to you all!

Wonderful trip for business and pleasure. The flat was delightful and thanks for the accommodation. Loved staying in Covent Garden.

    3. Brendan

I cannot overstate how pleased we were with the flat. From our car pickup at Heathrow and then meeting Ricardo as he let us into the flat to our final day, it was fantastic. The view of the Palace Theatre from our windows, especially at night, was gorgeous. We were comfortable, we had everything we needed, and we very much look forward to booking again in the near future for next year’s trip. London Connection exceeded all expectations. A true pleasure.

It was wonderful! The flat was very comfortable. I’ve stayed in the
penthouse flat in that building several times. Love the location as
it’s central to everything I want to do. Really appreciated the
addition of double pane windows in the bedroom which cut down on
      exterior noise dramatically.

    5. Mayra

Our stay at the flat was wonderful. The flat is in a great location, is comfortable and very clean. What was outstanding was the service we received from Antonio. Not only did he explain in detail everything about the apartment, but when we asked about a place for breakfast nearby, he took us to the place; he even sent us a tex to inquire after us. In addition one of my friends had a question about a taxi I think and he response very quickly to her text. The whole experience was superb, due mainly to all of you guys attention.

    6. Andrew

We had a great time in London with London Connection. The flat was in a perfect location and met all our needs. You also provided excellent service! Not sure when we’ll be back in London but would stay with you again.

    7. Mikhail

We enjoyed our stay in London. Flat very well located and equipped with all bells and whistles. We will come back again.

    8. Briget

We loved our stay with you. The location was perfect for us as we love the theatre and go most nights. Our only little criticism would be the brightness of the bedroom at night, blinds would be nice to make it a bit darker.

Other than that we loved the flat, especially having a lift for the end of day tired legs! Alex let us in and very helpful and professional.

We would not hesitate to stay with London Connection again when we visit London. In fact, I don’t bother looking anywhere else for accommodation now we have stayed with you twice, as over the years we have been visiting London (7 visits) your flats are by far the best in every way.

Thank you once again for a wonderful stay!

We really liked the location of the flat – and although at home we live in a very quiet country setting, the street noise did not keep us up at night – I think the double-glazing on the bedroom window really helps! The flat was clean (but someone may want to replace that bath mat!) and had everything we needed – wifi, a washer, drying rack, iron and ironing board, sufficient pots, pans, glassware, plates, silverware. The bed was very comfy and it was nice that extra pillows were in the closet should we need one. The closet in the bedroom was a great bonus so we could hang up our clothes and keep everything tidy. We always like an evening in to watch the telly and the channel selection was generous (Escape to the Country fast became our favorite everywhere we travelled in the UK!). Nice water pressure and hot water was readily available (maybe we have always been lucky but this has never been a problem for us no matter where we have stayed but boy do a lot of people complain when it’s bad!).

Our favorite place first stop when in London is the Café in the Crypt at St. Martins-in-the-Fields so it was great to be walking distance to go there whenever we liked. Also, we went to see The Mousetrap at St. Martins Theatre and we were both so happy that we could walk home (and to know that so many theatres were walking distance for future visits).

Ricardo was lovely and helpful; making sure we understood how to work the tricky gas stovetop and ensuring we were able to access the wifi on all of our electronics before he departed.

We will be back to London next year and I am hopeful that a two-bedroom will be available then because we are bringing our daughter and granddaughter with us.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in one of your lovely flats!

    10. Margaret

I enjoyed my trip enormously, and the flat was wonderful! It was just the right size for one person, and I appreciated how quiet it is (which I was a little worried about given its location). The location was great; being so close to theatres really made it easier for me to get out in the evening, and it’s so central I had several days I didn’t even use the tube or buses. Oh, and my drivers both to and from the airport were excellent:: professional, friendly, and efficient.

This was my third stay with London Connection, and I’ll definitely be booking with you in the future. Thank you!

    11. Joy

The location, service and amenities of this apartment were exactly what we needed for our family of three. We stayed for a week in apartment #7 and could not have been more pleased with our experience. Ricardo met us outside and gave us a wonderful introduction to the area and the apartment. It is surrounded by theaters, wonderful restaurants, tube stops, grocery stores and a lot of energy! The kitchen is well stocked and the apartment is updated. The master bed was comfortable and the sofa bed was sufficient for our 11 year old daughter. The doubled paned windows kept the noise from the busy street below to a minimum. We will absolutely plan to stay here in the future, and have recommended it to our friends and family.

Thank you for a wonderful experience!

      Brian August 2016
My family and i have just returned after spending 8 days in this Fabulous apartment in London, the apartment was exactly as advertised, but even better than we expected!. It was very light and airy and really comfortable in all aspects, and what a fabulous location, we could not have asked for better, right in the heart of Theatreland and so close to all the Major tourist locations. Leicester Sq,Trafalgar Sq and Covent Garden, and all of the Major shows were all within about 5-10 minutes walk and travelling around on the Tube was so easy, and even the Weather played ball!. Now on to the company, London Connection, this was the first time we have rented from them and what a pleasure it was dealing with them. Everything was very straightforward and made very simple for us. We will definitely be renting from them again next year, on arrival we were met by Ricardo, a special mention here for Ricardo, what a nice guy he was, very friendly and made us feel very relaxed, he also has a really good Knowledge of London and gave us some very good tips.So all in all a great Holiday thanks in no small part to London Connection i will certainly recommend them to all my friends.
      Until next year………

      Brian. Manchester, England.

    13. Andrea

We are back now from our fabulous holiday to France and England and of course I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the flat!! It was just so perfect for us, and of the four times we have rented flats from London Connection over the years, Jerry and I both agree that this one is our favorite so far! Everything about it, the location, the layout of the interior of the flat, the lovely kitchen, bathroom, and living room spaces – all were perfect and after a week of living in hotels in Normandy, it was so nice to unpack everything into the spacious closet and not have look at our suitcases again until it was time to leave the flat a week later 🙂 We saw six theatre shows in four days, so the flat’s ideal location in the Theatre District was perfect – we walked everywhere, and no walk was farther than 10 minutes. We were blessed with perfect weather, too, so that made the whole stay even more lovely.

    14. Paula

London Connection never disappoints. We have stayed 5 or 6 times, in 4 different flats, in 3 different buildings for a total of over 5 months!! This flat was excellent for theatre buffs like us, plus so close to the transportation links we use the most like Charing Cross. I really liked the combined kitchen, dining and living room. No one was isolated in the kitchen while preparing food or drinks.

We love Belgo’s for mussels and their EXTENSIVE beer list and for an unusual yet delicious breakfast try DISHOOM.

    15. Morteza and Sarah

Thank you for reaching out to us about the flat. We thought that the location next door to the famous Ivy Restaurant was perfect.
Close to theatres, shopping and all the famous attractions of London.
I loved the fresh juice stand that appeared at the front door in the morning, great way to start the day with a fresh green juice.

Best find was the Raymond Blanc restaurant upstairs in Covent Garden, what a gem and a fabulous dinner with the film show
over the buildings that highlighted the art of the CG.

The flat is perfect for a couple.

    16. Jennifer

Thank you London Connection. We just returned from a stay in the flat at Cambridge Circus. The flat was beautiful and comfortable. We loved the location with restaurants, theaters, museums right within walking distance. From the flat we could easily walk to inexpensive restaurants in Soho and felt safe everywhere we went. I loved getting up in the morning and just going for a walk with my 11 year old daughter. We were amazed how central we were. We randomly started walking several times and ended up having great adventures and fun discoveries all within a 10 minute walk. The booking experience was a pleasure. Camille was easy to work with and helped us find the right place. Ricardo met us at the flat and gave us some excellent advice on the apartment, places to go and theater tickets. He told us about “day seats” and we were successful twice getting good tickets. He was very affable and helpful. Everything about the reservations and apartment was handled professionally and thoughtfully. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this flat for those who like being in a lively, central and convenient location.

    17. Judy

We LOVED this flat and have stayed in many others in the same area. There was:
      1. Plenty of room for the 2 of us and our bags – not always the case.

      2. I get up early and read – good separation between BR & LR & Kitchen. Quiet with BR door closed.

      3. Sound proofing for windows in BR was excellent, even with Saturday night on the Dial and the sirens!

      4. Great restaurants nearby and far enough from Leicester Square to avoid the craziness.

      5. Clothes washer/dryer was very intuitive to use. We never needed to use the instructions.

      6. American travelers need to be reminded to bring their own washcloths! We always keep a pair with our luggage at home so we don’t forget when traveling in Europe.

We will definitely book this flat again!

    18. Rotem

We had a great time in London and enjoyed the apartment very much. For what we needed it was perfect! It was also excellent for us that we could stay a bit longer on the day we left so that we didn’t have to worry about the luggage while enjoying the city before leaving to the airport early evening.
We could recommend both Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant around the corner and Busaba restaurant on 35 Panton Street, which were both near by and great. (of course you have so many other great places to eat around) and endless stores to enjoy.
      Many thanks. We’ll be back!

    19. Julie

We loved this Flat. It was everything we had hoped for. Great location and very accommodating hosts.
We ate at Cantina Laredo 2 times while staying at the flat. Cantina Laredo, 10 Upper St Martin’s Lane, St Martin’s Courtyard, London, WC2H 9FB, It’s just down the street.
EVERYTHING was close. Night life, great restaurants, wonderful stores and cafes and of course lots of sight seeing. We could walk everywhere.
“The London Walk Tours”were really great. Check them out. I will definitely use London Connection next time we visit London.

We have stayed here before and loved the location and the cozy flat. It feels like coming home and we love the convenience of having our own space in this busy city. When we had a minor problem, our fault, Christina dealt with it very quickly while we went out for lunch. Everything is very easy with London Connections and you get exactly what you see in the pictures. We will continue to use this as our London home.

    21. Wendy

Couldn’t have been happier with this flat. The location is absolutely perfect and the flat itself is clean and modern. The London Connection people were very easy to deal with and answered any questions before renting and upon showing up.

    22. Chris Bleackley

If you love theatre and restaurants this is the place for you. This is the second time we have rented this apartment and would certainly go back. The location on Cambridge Circus is perfect for walking to most theatres and fabulous dining spots. The apartment is very nice. Large lounge, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen with large fridge, microwave, dish and clothes washer, and a bathroom with lots of hot water and good shower pressure. The pick up service from LHR is highly recommended and the apartment orientation was excellent. There are two supermarkets close by including a Marks and Spencer. In my opinion one of the best restaurants around is Barrafino on Frith Street which is only 5 minutes walk. Finally dealing with everyone at London Connections was a delight.

    23. margot wheeler

The apartment was perfect. New, well equipped and in the perfect spot. Thank you for such a smooth experience. Would definitely stay again and recommend your service to other travelers.

    24. Deborah

We LOVED our stay in London. The Shaftesbury Ave flat is the perfect location because everything is within easy walking distance – the British Museum (5 minutes), Trafalgar Square/National Gallery (5 minutes), Chinatown (3 minutes), Marks and Spencer (8 minutes), Lamb & Flag (5 minutes). We even easily walked the length of Oxford street with all the beautiful stores, including Selfridges. The apartment itself was extremely clean, modernized and had all the conveniences of home. The building itself is very quiet. We never heard doors slamming, people talking or shoes stomping above. I particularly liked that each room has its own door so an early riser needn’t worry about awakening the sleeper. I’m a stickler for details, paperwork and follow-through and all of that was handled professionally and thoroughly. Would definitely use this service again. Top-notch!

    25. Michele

The flat looked inviting, clean and modern when I arrived, like a show home with warm wooden floors, modern appliances and a large fridge and full size hob with an oven. I loved having big windows in the bedroom, a nice large TV with a good picture, building security and friendly staff who showed me how to use all the appliances when I arrived. I really appreciated having a washer/dryer and a hairdryer in the flat. Those things allowed me to pack lighter and have more room in the suitcase for souvenirs. The location of the flat is also amazing. Countess restaurants nearby, several theaters on the doorstep, several tube stations and even two grocery stores around the corner and yet I was not bothered by noise at all and the flat was cozy and warm even though it was the middle of winter. As a solo traveler, I didn’t want to use your car service, but the tube from Heathrow goes nearly to the door so it makes it super convenient. When I arrived, I discovered the telephone was broken but it was replaced before noon the next day – excellent service. The elevator in the building was also a nice feature that was especially helpful after being out all day or when coming home with groceries.

    26. Ryan

The flat was presented exactly as advertised, and we could not have been happier with it! The location of the property could not be better for access to the heart of London entertainment, nightlife and history. A word of caution: while the triple-pane windows offered some protection from the street-noise, festivities on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are still heard from the bedroom. However, we did not view this as a bad thing because we were typically contributors to those very celebrations. The property is perfectly suited to access any part of London via the tube, and is walking distance from a variety of pubs and restaurants.

The let-in person and driver were prompt and professional, and offered great advice on where to go and what to do (it was our first trip to London). The property was clean and contained all the appliances, amenities and conveniences we needed, including cable television and fast wireless internet. In spite of the active weekend night-life and street traffic, we felt safe in the neighborhood and witnessed no trouble whatsoever.

We will certainly book this property again. Without hesitation, we recommend it for anyone who wants to experience the heart of London.

    27. Joan

We enjoyed our November stay so much that we booked another trip for March. The property was very clean and homey. We have spent alot of time in London and this location is excellent for anyone who is interested in attending the theatre and living in the theatre area. There are lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. Local transportation is right out your door.

    28. Betty

We loved this flat! The location cannot be beat. We were traveling in July 2011 with our 4 adult children so we divided the group and 3 were in one flat and 3 were in the other. The two flats were modern, but be aware that the washer/dryer is one machine so you can only do small loads and it does take some time. They did have a drying rack for the clothes which worked very well. Because of the excellent location we could walk to the grocery store, walk to the tube, walk to any number of pubs and restaurants. And because it was in the theater district ….any number of plays! They have done double double window panes which did help the noise factor. The flats are in a very busy area of the city, so there are lots of folks in the square below until late in the night. We had to close our windows and we used the fans which worked out well. The London Connection was fabulous to work with, I would book through them in a heartbeat. Our hostess was great and available for any questions we had.

    29. Andrew

Everything in the apartment was great. Thank you so much! Everything went smoothly.

    30. Kenneth

Just to let you know, we had a great time in London. The flat in Covent garden was just perfect. You were a pleasure to deal with and Vanessa met us at the door and was very helpful and kind. I will be happy to recommend London Connections to anyone going to London. I wished that I could handle the vacation rental I have in Lake Arrowhead as well as you handle your properties.
