1-66 Reeves Mews, Mayfair – Penthouse

Sophisticated Mayfair Penthouse with view of Mayfair

THE SURPRISE WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! London Connection has been looking forward with great anticipation for the one bedroom in Reeves Mews to join our two other 2-bedroom flats in the same building. This one bedroom accommodation has exceeded our expectations. Let me tell you about the location and the beautiful flat itself. Reeves Mews is located in the most elegant setting, moments from the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane and its second entrance facing Reeves Mews. The property benefits from three tube stations: Oxford Street, Marble Arch, and Green Park, and buses and taxis are everywhere. You are only one tube ride from the heart of Knightsbridge and the shopping around Harrods. You will find easy access through Green Park to Buckingham Palace and the Mall, or you can catch an Open Top Bus and ride around London and see the capital from on high. A visitor to this flat can walk two blocks north to Oxford Street where shopping and transportation are located. Or walk west through Reeves Mews and on to Adams Row and all the best restaurants, shops, and even the great theaters — all within 15 minutes. The beauty of Mayfair and of Reeves Mews is a quiet setting with easy access to the highlights of this great city. Many visitors think Covent Garden is the only place to stay and then return stating it’s a noisy part of London while visitors to Reeves Mews report that the flats on Reeves Mews have easy access to all the sites and have an elegant neighborhood as well. IT IS QUIET!

The intention for this flat is to create an elegant yet comfortable setting for two people traveling together. The LOUNGE has a large sofa which will make into a comfortable single bed allowing for a third person (with permission from London Connection). The beautiful original wood floors glisten and highlight nice pieces of furniture. There is a dining table and three chairs, a comfort chair, and a fine Victorian cupboard filled with show pieces of Minton china. Wonderful paintings are displayed on the walls including a pair of maritime paintings which come from Thomas Moore Sr’s personal collection. A very large Roman marble bust is carved out of coral color marble and gives the room its color theme; it is reported to be the image of the famous Roman Livia. The lounge is large, comfortable, and perfect for a successful visit to London. The galley KITCHEN has all machines including washer/dryer, dishwasher, oven and hob, dishes, and cooking materials. It’s perfect. The warm BEDROOM is large — allowing it to offer a UK King size bed and wonderful closets and storage. The BATHROOM has a tub with shower over, sink, loo and two mirrors. There is phone, television, and WiFi for a visitor’s convenience.

This flat is the penthouse on the third floor with lift. The south view is exciting and looks over the rooftops of this beautiful district of London we all know as Mayfair. The north view is of the wonderful exclusive residences. If you are traveling searching for this beautiful standard, this flat is the ideal choice. Another important consideration with this Reeves Mews flat is its becoming part of a group of three flats in the same building allowing up to 10 people to stay in the same building. If you love to walk, enjoy gardens, have a morning run in Hyde Park, or shop in the most exclusive shops in the city, this accommodation is meant for you. For me, it is perfect.

      All That Was Promised!
My husband and I spent a wonderful week in London thanks to London Connection. The staff was highly professional, prompt and the property was exactly as advertised. We have been to London before, but wanted something other than just a hotel room. Staying in a London Connection flat let us feel like Londoners..at least for a week. We utilized the pick up and delivery option and David ensured that arrival and departure was stress-free. Cristina was waiting at the flat when we arrived and the Let In when off smoothly. The staff even suggested restaurants that we great in the area. Cristina was right about the Italian place in Shepherd’s Market: the food was wonderful. I can’t imagine staying in a hotel room when this option is available! You may be certain that we will utilize this company when we visit again.

We very much enjoyed our five night December stay at the Reeves Mews apartment. The apartment was nicely furnished, well located and very quiet.

This was our fifth stay with London Connections and the first time outside the Covent Garden area. It was fun getting to know another part of London. Although it is more residential, it was still within easy walking distance of most of the attractions we visited. We saw three plays, visited the Wallace Collection (a ten-minute walk away), the Royal Academy of Art and the Tate Modern. We also took a walking tour of Green Park and Mayfair and went to the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.
