2-23 Palace Street | Westminster

AN OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY. Palace Street is immediately next to Buckingham Palace, the Royal Mews. This is an outstanding flat. The St. James’s, Belgravia area of London is without question the finest London address. Your neighbor on one side is the Queen and all the beautiful properties on the other sides of the flat are also lovely. You are just across the street form the Royal Mews and The Queen’s Gallery. The famous facade of Buckingham Palace is just around the corner–PERFECT. St. James Park is two minutes up the road, and The Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey are 10 minutes from the property. For those who will enjoy a 15-minute walk, you can be to Trafalgar Square in one direction and Green Park in the other. You will be to Victoria Station in five minutes. An excellent sandwich shop is moments away, and the Queen’s Gift Shop is on the ground floor. Restaurants and grocery stores are everywhere. Taxis are always available just downstairs. Victoria Station Tube Station is five minutes away, and Green Park Tube Station is 12 minutes from the property. In all regards, this location is perfect.

The property on Palace Street is on the second floor with LIFT. The very nice LIVING ROOM has a large black leather sofa with a matching leather foot rest, TV, and other comfortable seating–very nice. The MASTER BEDROOM has a good UK King size bed with ample storage. This bedroom has an EN SUITE BATHROOM with nice shower stall, wash hand basin, and loo–all marble finished. The SECOND BEDROOM has two single beds which can be setup as a UK Super King (by request) with good storage. The SECOND BATHROOM has a tub with shower, wash hand basin, and loo. The very nice KITCHEN has electric oven and hob, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer. Enjoy the photos of this very nice flat positioned in an exceptional location. If I were planning a trip to London, I would definitely select this property. High speed wireless internet is included. Property is designated non-smoking.

We had a wonderful time in London and the flat was in a perfect location for all our sight-seeing. The flat was very comfortable, beds were very comfortable with nice linens.

As for sight-seeing, we walked many miles and saw many sights. We especially enjoyed the London Bridge and St. Paul’s. A lovely city that we’d like to go back to sometime.

Thanks for making it a great stay!

We absolutely loved the flat in London, it was very comfortable and location was perfect. It was so nice to have a driver waiting for us upon our arrival & also to schedule a driver for our departure. We would definitely book this flat again should we find ourselves in London!

We had a great time in London and the Palace St flat was perfect for our family. We’ve been raving about it since we returned to the states.

The location was excellent for tourist pursuits. It had great access to St James and Green parks. We were within walking distance to Trafalgar Square and the proximity to Victoria Station meant we could use the metro easily. Best of all, the changing of the guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace was practically in our back yard.

The flat itself was in good condition and very comfortable. It made us feel like locals when we purchased groceries and made meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Our teenager was grateful for the wifi too- all the comforts of home!

We were appreciative of the transport from and to HRW with Mr Norman and would recommend the service to other travelers.

Many thanks for the role London Connection played in our family’s memorable vacation.

The flat was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a great location, literally just around the corner from the Palace, a short walk to Victoria tube, and had several places within a short walk. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in London to see the sights, and I will definitely stay again when we next decide to visit.

My friend and I do a big trip every fall so spent 12 days in London at the end of October. We needed two bedrooms and two baths and wanted to be in an area that was not full of tourists. The Palace Street flat was perfect. First, the location. In central London we were just a 10 minute walk from Victoria Station, and slightly less to St. James and Westminster. Cabs were plentiful on Buckingham Palace Road just a few steps out the front door and the whole Westminster area with Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Churchill War Rooms a short walk. While Buckingham Palace was a neighbor attracting crowds, if you turned right out the front door you are in a residential neighborhood with the wonderful Phoenix pub on the corner. A five minute walk (on the way to Victoria Station) cuts through Cardinal Place with Marks & Spencer (all the groceries you need plus wine) Boots (drug store) and several other shops, coffee shops and restaurants. When you hit Victoria Street all the main bus lines are right there.

The flat is accurately portrayed in the photos. The bedroom at the back with the queen bed has an ensuite bath with shower. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage and cupboard space. The larger bathroom with bathtub (enjoyed soaking after those days of lots of walking) is spacious and is at the entrance of the flat. The kitchen is well equipped and a nice feature is that they leave unopened or slightly used things from other guests. We had some tea, salt and pepper, olive oil, oatmeal etc. Best selection of equipment I have seen in apartments I have rented anywhere in Europe and importantly great instructions for the washer and dryer. First time we were successful at our first laundry attempt. Good beds, plenty of hot water and the building is immaculate and quiet. If you noticed like I did on Google Maps that there is construction across the street it is not an issue. Could not hear in the bedrooms and they started after we were up and finished late afternoon. Restaurants in the area are plentiful. Cinnamon Club for upscale Indian and Quirinale upscale Italian both in Westminster. So much to see and do in London that we are planning another 10 days in fall of 2017 and will stay at the Palace Street.

When writing this I remembered that the only disappointment in the kitchen was the knives. A good selection but they have not been sharpened in ages. Could not cut with any. Small thing to fix.

We had a wonderful time in London. The flat was great. Very comfortable and quiet. We loved the location being right near the palace and conveniently close to the Tube station.

We had a wonderful visit to London and even better stay at the Palace St flat. The location could not have been better and the flat was perfect for our family! The flat was a wonderful size, had everything we needed and quite a large kitchen. Ricardo let us in and was very helpful in explaining all the information about the flat and the area. We arranged a driver to and from the airport and both drivers were extremely professional and helpful. Thank you for making our stay in London easy, fun and wonderful!

We had a wonderful time in London! The location of the flat was perfect- so central to everything. I’ve been to London several times before so I knew the general area that I wanted to stay in but I never expected to stay so close to Buckingham Palace! I think we would all recommend the Phoenix pub right down the street- we ate there twice. They had great daily specials and the service was terrific, especially considering I had two teenage boys who can get a little silly!
We saw quite a few of the usual sights- the Tower, the Eye, and the changing of the Guard. We also went to the Chelsea football club(one of my nephews is a fan)- the proximity to Victoria station really helped too!
Thank you for all your help- I’d recommend London Connection wholeheartedly!!!

In short, we had a wonderful time. The location was super because all the attractions we wanted to see were within walking distance, we think we used the tube twice! On previous visits a little further out we relied on the subway and buses which was fine, but this location was even better. We loved being at the back of Buck House, even saw Prince William drive into the gate entrance almost opposite the apt. This is also where everyone checked in for the garden party during our stay. We saw the horses from the Mews exercised twice a day and there was plenty of mounted police around – wonderful vibe and so different in an urban setting. However, our only complaint ( tongue in cheek) was there were too many tourists during the day, but at night you could hear a pin drop outside! We felt very local going to the local pubs, Colonies and the Cask, just down the way. Shopping was very close and good. The apt. was was great, thank you. Good bed, lovely living area, super water pressure in the bathroom showers and a well equipped kitchen allowing us to whip up gourmet meals ( we ate out too). Suggestion,: fix the non working stove burner.
All in all, before and during our stay we were impressed with your staff, right down to the driver who took us to Gatwick.
Thanks so much to your entire team for making this such an enjoyable trip.

We stayed at this apartment for 5 nights with our child. The location is central, 4 mins of walk to Victoria station. We often took walks to the Westminster Abbey and the Parliament, that is 10 mins away on foot. And to the Green Park that is 5 mins from the apartment. However, it was a challenge to find a good supermarket in vicinity.

The apartment is spacious, perfectly suits 4 people. The bedrooms give on the small court, hence it is very quite. Good, comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped and large. The bathroom is large and the water pressure is good. The apartment is in good condition and proper. We stayed there in February. The apartment offered a nice warm refuge against rather frosty London. We highly recommend this apartment!”

We had a wonderful trip to London with our granddaughters. They had just graduated from high school and this seemed to be the best gift we could give them. We were very pleased with the flat especially with the two bathrooms. Loved the location too as it was close to shopping ,Victoria. Station etc not to mention Buckingham! I will be making this trip in 2017 with my other granddaughter and will be booking with you again. Thank you for providing us with all your services.

    12. Betty

We loved our apartment. The location was perfect and I have shared our experience with the London Connection with many of our friends. The nearness to the Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Cathedral, and Victoria Station proved to be excellent for us. Even the theaters being so close was wonderful. Thank you for your help.

    13. Jackie

We had a lovely stay at your palace street location. It was so central that we walked absolutely everywhere and had everything we needed. The apartment was very spacious for our group of four adults and would book again in a heartbeat.

There were enough pubs and restaurants in a one block radius that dinner plans required very little forethought. I would recommend the Phoenix to anyone staying there, which is only a few doors down. As well, having the M&S 1/2 a block away was perfect for snacks and breakfast.

We have already passed your name on to a few people, one of which has booked for September.

Thanks again for such a nice vacation,

    14. Keith

We had a good time. Person who met us at the airport was friendly and talkative. The facility manager was also friendly and showed us the ins and outs of the apartment. Loved the fact that it was close enough to walk to Victoria Station and actually close enough to walk to Westminster Abbey and Parliament. The weather was dry so the apartment itself was a nice spot to branch out and see London from. We would stay there again or book another one with you guys. Plenty of room for a family of three and nice kitchen for breakfast.

We bought the week long Oyster card which made for pretty hassle free travel around the metro area using Victoria Station as a hub. Mostly we hit restaurants or pubs a little bit away from the flat but there were a few near to the flat that we ate at and they were OK.

We stayed at this wonderful apartment in October with my 84 year old father. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The location is perfect for all sightseeing wishes. It is a short walk from Victoria station. The apartment is very spacious and clean. Everything worked perfectly. There was even a small space heater for my father’s bed room. One of the best features of this apartment is the café right beside the entrance. They had very good croissants and lattes. It must be a good café as there is always taxis parked there to pick up there order. The owners of the café will even call for a taxi for you.
The staff at London Connection made everything very easy and worry free. I would recommend this apartment for anyone wishing to stay in central London.

    16. Ann Barbaro

What a great location, flat and particularly the staff! They really performed above the call, helping us schlep luggage (for 4 of us after our cruise) 2 blocks in the rain because the streets were closed due to the Queen doing her thing at Parliament that day. ABOVE THE CALL!! Flat location was perfect and the flat itself was just wonderful for the 4 of us. We will be back.

I have stayed in London Connections flats for some 15 years, often twice a year. From my perspective, other flat rental firms do not measure up to London Connection. For many years, I have become accustomed to the top-notch standards that Connections has established and works very hard to maintain. Location, number of properties, seamless cordination, and a dedicated staff behind the scenes are among the reasons I am a frequent customer. As for Palace Street, I have stayed in it four times and would do so again.

We stayed at 2-23 Palace Street for 5 nights in early December 2013. We have stayed in many hotels and flats in London over the past ten years and were delighted to stay in this flat. It was centrally located, reasonably priced , large, clean, and close to the Victoria tube/rail station which was handy for not only for city travel but also for the regional rail service. There are numerous restaurants, pubs, and shops in the immediate vicinity. My wife and I will highly recommend this flat and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to central London.

What a wonderful place to stay when in London. We were here in September 2013 and it was my first time in London. Everything about this stay was perfect. From the time Maureen picked us up at the airport…gave us a little tour of the city…arrived at the apartment I knew we booked the right place. The apartment was bright and clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is perfect. Across the street from Buckingham Palace..very short walk to the tube…stores and great places to eat just around the corner. When I return I will definately stay here again. We stayed 5 nights and I was sad to leave London and sad to leave our great apartment. The driver picked us up and took us to the airport. No need for a taxi. We traveled Europe for 6 weeks and stayed at quite a few places and this place is one of the top places we stayed.

    20. Molly Martin

We stayed in this great apartment for 7 nights beginning late in September 2013. We were traveling with another couple and it was so nice to put our feet up, share a bottle of wine, and discuss the days ramblings without sitting in a hotel lobby. Near to shops and transit, we very much enjoyed our stay. The driver and let-in people were fantastic and gave a great first impression to begin our stay. Our only feedback is that it might be better to refer renters to a laundromat in place of the tiny washer/dryer – it took 2+ hours to launder 2 t-shirts and some underwear – and then they were damp! Although we were given verbal instructions on the washer when we arrived, there was a page missing in the written instructions in the apartment and our foggy-first-day brains hadn’t recalled everything….. Small problem in an overall wonderful stay.

My husband, 10 year old grandson and I spent August 8 13 at 2-23 Palace Street and our first and most important impression was that the location was fabulous! We often took breakfast out from the coffee shop downstairs or ate at one of the nearby cafes. I loved being able to send the boys out for breakfast while I ate in! Marks & Spencer was only a block away and a couple of times, after a long day of sight seeing, we availed ourselves of the handy food court for dinner in. One afternoon during some down time, my grandson and I walked down to the front of Buckingham Palace to climb on the Victoria Memorial and walk in Green Park an afternoons stroll in the neighborhood not to be topped in other locations!

The flat was well equipped and, although I had worried about using the washer/dryer and dishwasher, they were both of high quality and worked well. One word of caution to the let-in person, however, is that the symbols on the machines might be very straightforward to those accustomed to UK appliances, but those of us from the colonies have different symbols, so it took some figuring out. That said, the apartment was totally as advertised.

I would be remiss if I didnt mention John the driver who transferred us from the airport to the flat and the guy who let us in whose name escapes me. They were both especially helpful and, considering that we landed at Heathrow at nearly 10:00 p.m. and got to the flat around midnight, super alert and on top of things!

Finally, although weve been to London a number of times, this was our first apartment stay and we loved it! Its hard to beat the extra space with the flexibility it afforded us to plan our days. Most importantly, again, the location of this particular flat was stellar, as were all the contacts we had with London Connections staff. Our granddaughters 10 year old trip will be coming up in a couple of years and well definitely consider staying at 2-23 Palace Street again.

Thanks for making our trip great!

We (4 adults) had the pleasure of staying in the Palace Street apartment for 7 nights during June 2013. We found the apartment to be clean and comfortable, well-appointed in terms of overall facilities, a great location close to shops for groceries etc, pubs and restaurants, two stations, and easy access to a number of major tourist attractions. The apartment was in a quiet location and surrounding streets were well lit, clean and seemingly safe. Just around the corner from Buckingham Palace and St Jamess Park made it a great place to stay. Two stations (tubes) were within easy walking distance and there was never a problem getting cabs if needed.

I would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family and would certainly stay there again if back in London. In addition the airport picks up and drop off service was an extra bonus – prompt, efficient and economical.

    23. Greg

Location, location, location! You turn left when exiting the building and you are on Buckingham Palace Road, right next to the Palace! Well, actually the Royal Mews at the Palace, but with a less than 5 minute walk you are at the front of the Palace, the Victoria Monument, and the Mall. Head down Buckingham Palace Road in the other direction and within a 5 minute walk you are at the Victoria Underground Station, from where you can make connections using the Victoria Line to the rest of the City. Just as convenient, if you turn right when leaving the building and head down to the other end of Palace Street, you pass two really great pubs, Marks & Spencer (a clothing store that also has a fair-sized food mart, where you can stock up on food for the kitchen – we bought breakfast food, drinks, snacks, salads, and frozen pizzas), and eventually you end up at Victoria Street. This street itself leads to Parliament Square, where you will find Westminster Abbey and obviously Parliament. You could walk there in less than 15 minutes or just catch the No. 11 bus to “Liverpool Street” that besides taking you to Parliament Square also goes on to Trafalgar Square (The National Gallery) and St. Paul’s Cathedral. From a transportation and sightseeing perspective, the Palace Street apartment rental is in a perfect location.

My family, which consisted of me, my wife and two adult daughters, had ample room, with two bedrooms (although my daughters had to share a bed in the second bedroom, which was no big deal), two full bathrooms, a completely functional kitchen and good sized living room. The internet Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, the TV channel selection was generous (for the limited amount of time you are in the apartment watching television, when not sightseeing or taking in a play at night – we saw two and got the stars autographs and photos at the stage door in the alley behind the theaters), and there is a rather extensive collection of tourist materials and guidebooks in the apartment. There are also four hairdryers in the apartment, the one we bought and left there and the three that were already there in a drawer in one of the bedrooms, along with a curling iron and hair straightener. There is also an iron, coffee maker, and electric kettle for tea. The photos on the website are a true representation of the apartment – what you see is what you get.

Finally, we took advantage of the offered van service between the airport and the apartment, both when arriving and departing. The drivers were great conversationalist and very engaging; and Christina, who met us at the apartment, provided a very thorough walkthrough. The location, apartment and whole experience was fantastic and I would not hesitate to use London Connection or book this location again (in fact, I would not even consider another one).

    24. Gene

We very much enjoyed our stay at 2-23 Palace Street. The location was great, the unit was quiet and comfortable and the London staff was helpful and accommodating.

    25. Deb

Our experience could not have been better. From the moment my sister and I booked with you we had nothing but a positive experience. The staff at London Connection were an amazing resource and answered all of our questions and accommodated every request. We opted for the shuttle service and Maureen was just wonderful. I am sure she will never forget us. We were the 4 women from the US with all the luggage. She was a wonderful source of information and basically took us on a private tour on our way to the flat. She gave us tips on transportation, restaurants, markets, attractions and more.

Our let-in, I believe her name was Christine, was wonderful as well. The flat had everything we expected and more. It was clean, comfortable and most of all, safe. The flat was well appointed, quiet, and the location was perfect. We were only minutes away from the everything, the market, the tube and bus terminal, we were able to walk to so many must sees: Buckingham palace, Green Park, Hyde Park, Big Ben and Parliament, Westminster Abby and so much more.

this was my first trip to London and I hope to do it again and the London Connection would definitely be part of that trip.

I wanted to let you know that my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Palace Street apartment the week of December 15-22. It was perfect for all 4 of us (our two adult daughters were with us as well). The location was ideal for everything we wanted to see and do! We could walk to the Victoria tube station in less than 5 minutes, the M&S grocery store was very convenient and had everything we needed – including some great wine and cheese! Since we were 4 women traveling, safety was a huge concern. We felt the location of the flat was in a very safe area and the fact that the main door to the apartment building was always locked, made it extra comforting.

A special thanks to Maureen (Mory?) our driver. She was so knowledgeable and kind. She didn’t even mind that we had so much luggage. The car was roomy enough to fit us and our luggage comfortably. Christina was also very kind and knowledgeable and took time to show us all about the flat. She even helped us print our boarding passes for our trip home.

It was a trip of a lifetime for us and staying at your property made it that more enjoyable. We had many nights that we cooked a meal and sat around the dining table and talked about our plans for the next day. The kitchen was very well equipped and we found the fans, hair dryers, extra pillows and blankets a plus. I would highly recommend this flat to anyone. It was perfect for our needs and made 4 American women feel very safe and comfortable.

    27. Geoff

We thoroughly enjoyed the property on 2-23 Palace Street. Extremely convenient location for shopping, restaurants and touring. The apartment was quiet, comfortable, and spacious. We would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

    28. Lee

Our stay in London at 2-23 Palace Street was fantastic. The process of checking in was very smooth and easy. The apartment was well decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for our sightseeing and taking in a show in the west-end. I highly recommend your place to anyone wanting to visit London and feel at home.

    29. Nan

The flat was perfect for us, the space and the location. It was convenient to everything, a few blocks from Victoria station, and walking distance to so many attractions. For the three of us, the floor plan worked very well. We only had breakfast there, so did no cooking. Marks and Spencer was a block away for pastries/coffee. There were too many great restaurants to try. We joked that we were neighbors with the Queen, as Buckingham Palace is literally across the street.
Our trip was terrific, and a memorable one for us and our 13 year-old grandson. He loved the city, the landmarks, the plays(Matilda and the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), and the Warner Bros. Harry Potter sets, outside the city.
The flat made it especially nice to have all of us together and yet with some privacy. It worked out beautifully.
Thank you…..so much for all your help. Also, the driver to and from Heathrow was terrific too. So pleasant and informative.

    30. David

We have nothing to say but it was an absolutely great experience. The facilities surpassed our expectations, service was superbly and the location outstanding. Its refreshing to experience something that mets or surpasses what was promoted/advertised. We will be back.
