2-26 Drury Lane | Covent Garden

This beautiful loft apartment offers luxury modern design within a stone's throw of London's finest theater.

For theater and all the activities around Covent Garden, this is the ideal two bedroom/two bathroom flat. The flat is within a five-minute walk to the Covent Garden Market, the Jubilee Market, the Royal Opera House, and most of London’s theaters. It is an amazing location. The Covent Garden Tube Station–on the convenient Piccadilly Line– is moments away, and taxis and buses are everywhere. Small shops, clubs, restaurants, sandwich shops, and wine bars are all very close to this wonderful flat.

The building is a period facade which has been saved while the entire new building has been added–really amazing. There are two flats in this building which are both two bedroom/two bathroom accommodations, so they can be booked together for larger parties traveling together. The flats are absolutely newly-refurbished to the very highest standard. They are truly stunning. There are TWO BEDROOMS with UK Super King size beds which can be “unzipped” into two single beds allowing four people to sleep in separate beds, as needed. The MASTER BATHROOM is EN SUITE, finished to the finest standard: marble and glass. The bedrooms are to the back, so quiet sleeping is assured. Both BATHROOMS have showers, loos, sinks, and great water pressure. Stunning. The KITCHEN has all machines with fridge/freezer, hob, oven, microwave, washer/dryer, and all cooking equipment. The LIVING ROOM is “classic” modern and finished to the highest standard with sofa and sofa bed, chairs, lamps, fine wood floors, etc. Really, there is no match for this stunning Drury Lane 2 bedroom flat on the first floor–up one flight of stairs. If you are traveling in this standard, this is an outstanding property. Highly, highly recommended.  High speed wireless internet is included. Property is designated non-smoking.

We loved the Drury Lane apartment, and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Cristina was super helpful and was there for us when we needed anything, from advice to details regarding the flat. The driver was punctual, funny and nice to talk to, as well as willing to help and give advice regarding places to visit, shop or sight seeing.
Everything went as planned and even better! I wouldn’t think twice in picking you again when I return to London (hopefully next year!) Thank you very much!

We have been to London several times. I must admit that the flat was the best we have stayed in.
Firstly because internally the facilities more than suited the needs of 2 couples and secondly the location was perfect. The flat is right in the heart of London and very close to all attractions and transport.
We would certainly stay there again should we travel to London.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in London and in the Drury Lane flat. This was a new area for us to stay in London and we found it great. Close to theatres, etc. and we walked everywhere. Also good shopping!

The flat itself was very comfortable and we had five good nights there. We tended to eat out mostly maybe apart from breakfast. And good restaurants all around everywhere.

The weather helped as it was quite warm with no rain.

      Great place and perfect location!

      Many thanks!!

Our stay was great! The gentleman that let us into the flat was very helpful and nice. The location was ideal—great part of town. Easy walk to so many restaurants and shops. The style of the apartment was modern and high end. We liked the bedroom configurations—ability to separate the twin beds or push them together. Also appreciated that there was a hair dryer! And the built-in coffee maker was so cool—wish we had those in the US!!! Booking process was user friendly, and communication with everyone went smoothly. If our travels take us to London, I would definitely stay with you again. Thank you for allowing us to visit your lovely apartment.

We loved the apartment. It was a perfect location, equal distance from the Covent Garden and Holburn stations. The apartment was perfect for 2 couples with lots of room. Your partner met us as scheduled, as well as the driver at the airport. I suppose that the best recommendation would be that we will look forward to booking the same apartment next December as soon as we arrange for air tickets.

We had a wonderful time in London and really enjoyed staying at the Drury Lane flat. The location was fabulous. We walked to so many places from there and for those places too far to walk, the subway stations nearby were very convenient. The flat was lovely and had all the conveniences we could want. The modern design was very nice and we were very comfortable there. We enjoyed the neighborhood including a variety of restaurants and pubs – especially during the Eurocup events when the local fans were out in number. I felt like we could walk two blocks in any direction and find something new we would enjoy. I would absolutely recommend it to others. And above all else, your team was amazing and extremely professional. Even before we left home, you were in contact so I knew who to call and when. Upon arrival, we had a warm and helpful greeting and introduction to the flat. Thanks so much!

we did enjoy the flat. It fit our needs perfectly. We loved the modern kitchen. Especially the expresso machine. We liked the location. Close to Covent garden and several tubes. We went to Whole Foods a couple of times to get food to eat in at night and liked that. Close to theater and restaurants.
      Would definitely recommend to others.

We had a great trip and enjoyed the flat very much. Great location for everything. Whenever we return to London we will review London Connection properties first. Transportation to/from Heathrow was very smooth. Thank you.

In regards to our recent trip to England, we absolutely loved the flat. It was a great size for us, a very convenient location and very neat and clean. It was unfortunate that the washer/dryer was broken during our stay but it was fixed quickly.

We did not make it to the British Museum. ( I got outvoted on that choice!) But please tell Ricardo that our first stop in London was the fish and chips place he recommended around the corner from our flat and it was great!

We did and saw many things but the highlight was seeing the Royal Family up close during the Trooping of the Color. We were very lucky to get so close and get great pictures! I’ve enclosed several pix including one from Ricardo’s fish and chips place and our royal visit.

We loved our trip to London and hope to visit again. If we do, we will definitely use London Connection again!

We really loved the location of our London flat. It was perfect for dining, theatre and sight-seeing. The flat was clean and well-equiped (loved the espresso machine). Our let-in contact was very accommodating to our requests to make our birthday girl’s first visit to London special. From the beginning stages of planning our trip to the arrangement of a driver to take us back to the airport, the company was easy to deal with and very helpful.

This was a very nice flat in a great location. Rooms are a little small (but this is central London, after all!) but comfortable. It was great having two bathrooms, even with just the two of us. We were particularly impressed by how quiet it was, especially in the bedrooms. Furnishings were modern and comfortable – a rare combination! The kitchen was fine for our needs and we especially liked having an American-style drip coffee maker which we don’t often find in the UK. The wifi worked perfectly. And we really enjoy dealing with London Connection. This was our 2nd time and won’t be our last!

    13. This flat is stylish and comfortable and a great location for walking around and exploring. Very clean, and quiet. Lots of nice touches and high quality finish that made it a great place to hang out. Highly recommended.

My family of 5 stayed in the 2-26 Drury Lane flat in May 2014. We loved it! It was clean, comfortable, and up-to-date. The check-in process went smoothly, and we were able to check out without difficulty. The location was fantastic–right in the middle of the theatre district. And yet, we weren’t bothered by too much noise at night. We were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to visit, and the grocery store was also close by. My teenage kids especially loved the built-in espresso machine in the kitchen! I can’t recommend this flat too highly–we would love to stay there again!

Apartment was very nice and the location was terrific, especially for going to the shows, shopping, museums, sites, etc. Easy walk to most central locations and there are a number of tube stops within 5 minutes that make it very convenient to get anywhere in London quickly. The London connection staff made the airport pick-up and check-in easy which is a very nice touch after a long flight. If you enjoy Indian food, the restaurant right next door is perfect. The kitchen was great and a grocery store was a 5 minute walk. I highly recommend this property and the good people at London Connection.

Only draw back was the dryer was a bit slow, but it was very nice to be able to use the washing machine and we just hung up the clothes. Allowed us to pack much less for our 7 night stay.

    16. Vadim

This property was great. Thomas and his staff were very easy to work with. The location of the flat could not be more central. It’s a few blocks away from Covent Garden tube stop (which, beware, is currently closed for construction in at least one direction). The flat is very clean, nicely appointed, with a wonderful kitchen. It’s very cozy, and the bedrooms are in the back of the flat, so there’s little if any street noise. The bathrooms were new and beautiful. It’s rare to find a great shower in the UK, and these were really nice showers. I highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay in Drury Lane extremely. This was the first time we chose an apartment over a hotel and it proved worthwhile, it gave us the ‘illusion’ and comfort of home. The flat was spacious, well appointed (though the 2nd bedroom clothes storage must be altered) and equipped with all modern appliances. The welcome by your staff and airport pickup worked smoothly. We found the location extremely convenient as it was situated within 5 mins walking distance from 2 tube stations and we could pick a taxi right outside our door. We stocked for groceries at the nearby M&S or Tesco’s at the shopping centre. The proximity to Covent Garden shopping area and all the interesting little alleys surrounding it gives one the opportunity to avoid the shoving on Oxford and Regent str if so inclined and also to discover interesting shops like for example the Neal’s Yard dairy with yummy cheese products. The location of the flat was vital; we could walk to theatres, cafes, nice restaurants, museums and shops in a very short time.
All in all we intend to stay here again and recommend it to anyone wishing to rent a flat in Covent Garden area

    18. Deena

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at 2-26 drury lane. The airport pickup and introduction to the flat by Ricardo went smoothly and professionally. The flat was in a terrific area close to three tube stops, many restaurants and a lively area to shop and wander. The flat was beautiful and quite comfortable for our family of four. We especially enjoyed the gourmet espresso machine! Would definitely use this company again. A terrific experience!

    19. Robyn

I had a wonderful stay at 2-26 Drury Lane with my husband and 2 daughters aged 19 & 20.
Supermarkets, restaurants, theatres and transport were all walking distance.
The unit was very clean and well appointed. Very secure and quite. The booking and let-in process was easy and staff very helpful.
We had an enjoyable Christmas in London. Thank you London Connection.

    20. Carl

*Great car service (David Norman) from/to LHR
      *Exceptional let-in person (Ricardo)
*Very clean, spacious and modern flat
*Washer & dryer are much easier to operate than expected
*Great location – easy access to two different Tube lines that allowed you to access a number of points in the city
*Secure street level door and flat entry door

      Tips:

      * Sainsbury supermarket near Holborn tube stop has far more products and a better selection than Marks & Spencer, the market near Covent Garden Tube stop
      * Covent Garden FX, a currency exchange window in Covent Garden, had the best exchange rates in London
      * Rossopomodoro is a 10 minute walk from flat – strong Zagat rating with reasonable prices and excellent food
      * Cafe Pacifico is another little gem – good Mexican food with a funky vibe – 5 minute walk from flat

All for now. We’d use London Connection again. Very good experience.

    21. Susan

We loved staying at 2-26 Drury Lane. It was perfect for our family. We have three children and our youngest is a boy age 9 so he was perfect for the pullout. The location was excellent – it could not have been better. We did a lot of walking and used the underground so it was nice to have Covent Garden and Holborn stops so close. It was very clean and everyone from London Connections has been so helpful and nice.

Nearby we liked Machiavelli (not so much for the kids but excellent for adults), and the Lowlander. There were so many places to eat we couldn’t get to many of them!

    22. Jenifer

We had a great stay and liked the property a lot. It was compact but very well appointed. My husband loved the built in coffee machine, and we also appreciated how quiet the bedrooms both were, and yet we were still in the middle of Covent Garden. Overall we thought the property was terrific, the location unbelievable, and we were very pleased!

We loved the bread and pastries and sandwiches at the newly-opened Balthazar, a couple of blocks away, and we loved both Monmouth Coffee Roasters (just a couple blocks away) and Store Street Espresso (in Bloomsbury). Our kids also loved Forbidden Planet a sci-fi/comic/paraphernalia store with all things Doctor WHO, Star Wars, etc.

    23. Michael

We loved the property very much, that Flat was clean and well appointed and had everything we needed.

Loved the kitchen and the built in coffee maker although we tended to eat out most of the time. The location is AMAZING! I cannot say enough about this, it’s so incredibly close to everything, wether you want to walk around in Covent Garden, or Leciester Square, or take a stroll along the Thames you’re just completely spoiled. I would stay there again in a second.

    24. Wendy

We enjoyed our stay in London. The apartment was close to a tube station and easy to find. It is most convenient to get on the Piccadilly line at the airport and not have to chance trains with all your luggage before reaching your destination. There were lots of eating establishments and a grocery store within a short walking distance. The location was most central and easy walking to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Square and of course Covent Garden and many theatres.

The apartment was quiet (no crashing of glass bottles in the wee small hours!), well appointed (except no teapot) but despite Christinas instructions, the washer and dryer remained a complete mystery to those of us from North America.

If you have any one bedroom apartments in the area, we would certainly consider booking with you again.

    25. Charlotte

We very much enjoyed our stay in London and the apartment was wonderful…so very convenient and within walking distance to all the sights were wanted to see. The apartment was very spacious for relaxing after busy days of sight seeing.
I appreciated your help..it made our trip very worry free.

    26. BJ and Don

We very much enjoyed our stay at Draycott Place. As advertised, the property
was a 5-minute walk from the Sloane Square tube station and the neighborhood
was very nice (and mercifully quiet). The flat was MUCH larger than we
thought it would be, even after looking at the on-line pictures, and very
comfortable for the four of us (two couples).

Our only regret was that due to the massive baggage snarl at the new Heathrow
Terminal 5, we all made the decision to downsize our wardrobes and only travel
with carry-on bags. We were glad of it when we arrived and were able to walk
off the plane, straight through Customs, and right out. Our driver, Paul, was
indeed at the airport although he almost missed us because we came out of
Customs well before the time he thought we would (the baggage wasn’t yet
offloaded from the plane!) but eventually we got hooked up for the drive into
town. He was so nice that we hired him on the spot to bring us back to
Heathrow at the end of our trip (there were rumors of a tube workers strike,
although that didn’t come to pass). But we did have to forgo any fine dining
during our stay as we didn’t have the appropriate clothes. A shame, as there
a lot of really nice restaurants in the area.

I’m afraid I’ve totally forgotten the name of the lovely lady who let us into
the flat and showed us about — it was difficult to focus after that long
trip! But anything she told us that went by us in a blur, we eventually
figured out on our own so we were just fine. The key thing was literally
being shown how the door keys worked, so we were okay in that department as
that part DID stick in our tired brains. About the only drawback to the flat
      was the lack of a desk and free electrical outlet for using a laptop computer;
we solved that by unplugging a lamp and using a small table at one end of the
shorter couch for the purpose. The washer and dryer were very small
(expected) and the drying cycle took a very long time (not expected), but we
just used that as an excuse to hang out on the basement stairs and rest our
feet some more. It was a bit of an adventure figuring out how to load laundry
soap into the washer but again, we figured it out (someone else hadn’t and had
left a bit of a mess behind in the soap dispenser). As good guests we were
most careful to put everything back as we found it, do the dishes, and empty
the trash on our last day; we also left behind a bit of a treat from San
      Francisco for the staff.

      The London Underground is quite marvelous and extremely easy to navigate in;
we were always able to find our way around. But we were glad to have engaged
Paul to pick us up at Heathrow this first time; it was much easier to find our
way over to Sloane Square and the station after a good night’s sleep, instead
of trying to locate the flat from the station end on top of an eleven hour
      plane trip!

The nearby pub (“The Queen’s Head”) was a nice place to go in the evenings,
although some folks might have been disturbed upon finding that it appeared to
be a favorite hang-out for gays. As we’re from California this didn’t faze us
at all, and the local clientele didn’t seem to mind us being there, so a good
      time was had by all.

London’s museums were wonderful, the monuments were, well — monumental!
Hampton Court Palace was marvelous and Greenwich was charming. We were
delighted when it snowed one day we were there, a real treat for people from
the San Francisco Bay area, believe it or not! We walked our feet off yet
still didn’t see more than half of what we wanted to, so we’ll definitely be
      back again sometime!

As you might well know from your records this is our 3rd stay in one of
apartments in London. We were very comfortable and the apartments were always
in excellent condition and very well equipped.

Checking in and out went very smoothly as usual. As for the airport pick- up,
this time everything went well according to schedule.

Unfortunately, since we arrived on Friday, we were faced with 2 days of
weekend plus a national holiday on Monday, and as a result we were deprived of
housekeeping for 3 full days…we managed!!

Whenever we travel to London we will always look forward to staying in
      connectionsmg apartments.

We had a most glorious time and really enjoyed the entire experience. The flat was well appointed and your staff more than happy to help us arrange groceries etc… We have shared the name of your organization with friends and family. I have no doubt that we will utilize your operation in the future. Both my husband and I travel frequently for work and we are just now taking our girls “on the road”. This trip proved them both to be good road warriors so I know we’ll be out and about as often as we can. Just as a note, you may find this interesting: During the same trip, we rented a flat in Paris through another organization, Vacation in Paris. While the sign up process was very good and the US based office staff personable… I found the documents and process on the Paris side to gain access to the flat etc… The materials were written in a condescending way and we felt that we were imposing to be there. It certainly was a bit of a let down from what we were used to from your company. I know you have flats in Paris and I= assure you we will go through London Connections for any future booking= s wherever your locations are.
