3-104 Godfrey Street | Chelsea House

This is an excellent and versatile town house ideally located off Chelsea Green and near to Sloane Square. This area in the center of London is between the River Thames to the south and Hyde Park to the north. From your flat you can walk almost anywhere you want to visit including Buckingham Palace or shopping at Harrods. To head to Covent Garden and the theater district,Trafalgar Square, St Paul’s, and other areas of town, you can walk just 10 minutes to the South Kensington Tube stop and take the Piccadilly line. If you want to save your feet, you can walk  2 minutes to King’s Road and hop on one of the multiple buses that can drop you at the Sloane Square Tube stop (also just a 10 minute walk from the flat). From there, you can take the tube to the east and reach the Tower, Westminster, or a river tour using the District or Central line — or take either of those lines to the South Kensington stop, transfer to the Piccadilly line, and head to Covent Garden, etc. The best of both worlds where you can be near fantastic local restaurants and shops in the middle of city life, and within a short distance be surrounded by nature’s trees and flowers galore. You can’t go wrong in this location!

The house has a SITTING ROOM with an ornamental gas log fireplace and opens into a sunny conservatory DINING ROOM. The KITCHEN is fully equipped with hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, etc. On the top floor is a MASTER BEDROOM with a UK Super King size bed and good storage. BATHROOM EN SUITE includes bath, hand shower, wash hand basin, and loo.  On the first floor there is SECOND BEDROOM with two single beds and good storage. A THIRD BEDROOM with a single bed with a trundle bed shares a fully tiled power shower stall bathroom with wash hand basin, and loo.  Nice house. Well located. It is one of our clients’ favorite destinations. It just works. It is great for families because there are so many single beds. Excellent for 5/6 persons. High speed wireless internet is included. Property is designated non-smoking.

We had another WONDERFUL stay at 39 Godfrey Street.

Jon and I started visiting London in 1985, staying first in B&B’s. We took our first rental (through a friend) in 2000 and realized that was really the way to go. We found London Connection and 39 Godfrey Street in 2004 and won’t do anything else now. This was our 4th time in the house. We (and our kids) have started to think of it as our “London home.” One of the things we love about the house is its relaxed setting. Comfy couches. Pillows on the floor. We much prefer that to a place that would feel formal and fancy. Or ultra modern. We also love how little Godfrey Street connects two very different parts of Chelsea. Go left, and we’re on busy King’s Road, turn right and we’re at the Pie Man and the cheese shop and the fishmonger on Cale St. (We’ve gotten to know the Pie Man quite well!) We think of the Builders Arms as our local.

Because we have been to London a number of times, we have already hit many of the major sites. We now try to settle in to what we like to imagine is a Londoner’s routine: a couple plays, piano recitals at Wigmore and at lunchtime at St. Martin’s in the Fields. We went to an art exhibit at the Chelsea Town Hall and visited the Physic Garden for the first time this fall. We try to find new pubs and new restaurants, but also always go to our favorites, like St. John’s and Anchor and Hope.

We loved the location. In the heart of Chelsea, we were a half block from an organic grocer and a bakery. We were a block from Kings Road and all of the shopping and energy of this busy street. We were a brisk walk from two tube stations.
Regarding the flat: 1. The washer, dryer, and dishwasher are hidden by the kitchen cabinetry and work very well. 2. Electric adapters are plentiful and helpful for guests across the world. 3. The space of three levels was important for traveling with teens 4. The driver suggested by the management was prompt and nice. 5. Ricardo, a local manager, met us at the flat and reviewed the workings of the flat. 6. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils including a coffee maker and electric tea kettle with tea bags.
We loved being in a real neighborhood away from hotels. It is a quiet, cute, and upscale neighborhood.

I just wanted to thank you SO MUCH for the wonderful stay we had at the 39 Godfrey property a couple weeks ago!! Staying with you was the best travel decision we made our whole trip! And David got us drivers for several different days and they were fabulous as well! Rasa was our favorite and he even made a special trip back to the house to drop off my gloves I accidentally left in the car! Thanks again for everything!

We loved the flat on Godfrey Street. The location was great. Situated between the Sloane Square tube and the South Kensington tube. We were able to walk to the Victoria and Albert museum and all the interesting shops on Kings Road.
The flat itself was clean and spacious and the check in with Fatima smooth and easy.
The driver she booked for us showed up promptly at the scheduled time and took us to the airport when we left.
I hope to stay in this flat the next time I’m in London.

    5. Therese

We really enjoyed our stay in London at the wonderful property on Godfrey Street.
The property was located in a fabulous area and the property itself was extremely quiet and comfortable but only yards from the Kings Road.
We would highly recommend London Connection and especially the warm welcome we received from Ricardo when we checked in. Many thanks for ensuring we had a fabulous holiday.

Just wanted to say that we really enjoyed the Godfrey Street flat! It was perfect for our family. The location was excellent. We loved Chelsea and the quick access to the tube and bus. It was nice to come back to a quieter area but with great access to grocery stores and restaurants. The flat was well stocked and now I really need to buy myself an electric tea kettle 🙂 Hopefully we will be able to return some day.

    7. Jody

We all loved London and look forward to returning some day.

The flat was perfect. We loved all the space…. and everything was clean and comfortable. Godfrey Street is lovely, such a charming place to come back “home” to each day. Waitrose was so convenient – just a 2 minute walk (we went several times). We enjoyed an evening stroll to the river one evening. We found the walk to South Kensington station easier and more enjoyable.

Again, thank you. We will highly recommend London Connection to anyone!

    8. Valerie

We LOVED our London visit and wish we could back right now! Our flat on Godfrey Street was absolutely perfect. We felt as if we were right at home yet with all the “coolness” factor of being away from home. The flat itself was fabulously comfortable for our family of four including two teenage girls who seem to spread everywhere like octopuses. Everyone felt like they had their own space.

And, of course, the location is SUPERB. We totally appreciated that it was just footsteps away from great restaurants, shops, grocery store, etc. etc. but we loved coming back to our quiet, quaint street in the evenings.

I have already recommended your company to several friends and we hope to some day soon be able to return too!

This is about our 6th stay in one of your Chelsea/ Belgravia flats and the second at Godfrey St. It is our favorite because of the layout and especially the location, close to the Sloane Sq. tube and Kings Road and our favorite local, the Trafalgar. Hope to return next year.

    10. Martha

We loved Godfrey Street. It was the perfect location for us. And we had everything we needed. The one thing I recall our wishing for was a dust buster or one of the small hand held vacuums. That would have helped us be a bit more tidy!

Many thanks. We will use you again!

    11. Javier

Our experience in London was extraordinary.
The house that you rent, achieved 100% our expectations.
We are going to write our very favorable opinion for the house and for its location.
We also thank you for your very professional attention when you received and showed us in detail the whole house, as well as for all the advice you gave us.
      Best regards

    12. Doug

We had a terrific time. Used the kitchen a bunch after long days of running around. M&S is a great resource. Layout worked perfectly, lots of separation/privacy.
      Hope to do it again.

    13. Joe

It was perfect – the house was charming and the intro from the staff was professional and very helpful

Would rent this again – we were very pleased!!

    14. Cynthia

We had a wonderful time in London! Here is some of what we did: Victoria and Albert Museum, National Gallery of Art, tour of Buckingham Palace, day trip to Windsor Castle, West End play (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime — fantastic), boat ride on the Thames, Dr. Johnson’s House, Courtauld Museum, free concert at St. Martin in the Fields, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral (including evensong), walk through Covent Gardens and the West End, lots of pub dinners, dinner at an Indian restaurant. We enjoyed all of these very much.

The flat on Godfrey Street was excellent for two couples: bedrooms on two separate floors, each with its own bathroom. We had everything we needed and the location was excellent. We were very happy to have a washer and dryer. It was a lovely quiet neighborhood to come home to in the evenings, but close to stores, restaurants and public transportation. We bought groceries to make breakfast each morning before we headed out. We came home to share a bottle of wine and some good cheese and crackers each evening. The number 11 bus (recommended to us by Cristina) was our best friend, right up the street and taking us into central London each day. I had thought we would use the tube (and maybe some cabs) most of the time, but we ended up taking the buses — very convenient and nice to see the sights. Having oyster cards made it very easy. Still, we could walk to the tube at South Kensington and it was nice that we could walk to the Victoria and Albert (we are all senior citizens, so we could do only so much walking). It was also a great bonus to have a dependable driver pick us up at the airport (there waiting even though our flight was delayed 3 hours) and drive us to the flat, and then take us back to the airport when we left.
All in all, we were extremely pleased with our experience with London Connection and we would recommend your services to anyone visiting London.

    15. Lilian

We really did enjoy staying at the Godfrey Street house. It was perfect for all the family, and so nice to be able to be able to fix a meal and relax after a day of touring the town. We particularly liked the neighborhood, it is such a pleasant area to walk around, and Waitrose around the corner, what more could you want!

As it was the first time in London for the grandchildren (10 & 11 years), we did the usual tourist sights. My granddaughter was most impressed with Big Ben, and a trip to Hamley’s toy store was a great hit!

I would like to commend Mr. Norman and his driver on their wonderful service. We were late reaching London, on June 23rd. after a long and tedious drive from Scotland, due to an overturned truck on the freeway. We kept in touch during our drive down, and when eventually we did arrive three hours late, the car was right there to take us to Godfrey St. We were picked up on the day of our departure right on time also, such good service!

I’m really glad I found you and were able to find just the right accommodation for our stay in London.

    16. Fabiola

Our family and I had an amazing time in London, flat was all we needed and wanted, clean and fully equipped, beautiful bedrooms, perfect location, lovely neighborhood, walking distance to stores and museums. We did everything: museums, London eye, all attractions and also visited Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge.
Staff at the house was very helpful and made our stay a wonderful experience.
Many thanks ,we highly recommend this place to everybody.

    17. Denise

We absolutely LOVED it! The Godfrey St. flat fit our needs perfectly. The location couldn’t have been better for easy access to everything we needed.
We will definitely consider renting this particular flat in future years or any one of your many options. I have raved to many about LondonConnection since our return. I’m sure you will have many of my friends for customers in the future!

The driver, David, was a delight, too. Our drive back to the airport was quick, on-time and his informative discussion about London and the Cotswolds was very interesting to us. I would highly recommend using that service to my friends.

I wish our wonderful holiday wasn’t over already but we will hope to do it again in some future year. Thanks for providing such great service. We really appreciated it.

    18. Nisa

Everything was wonderful. Chelsea was a perfect base of operations for us. The kids and my husband enjoyed their days while I worked, and the flat was a comfortable stay for our trip!

All went very well. Thanks so much!

    19. Sunshine

Had a great time the location was perfect and the house had more than enough room for all of us. Loved the little balcony and had a great time

    20. Laura

We loved our stay on Godfrey Street!! The house and amenities were perfect and as someone wrote in the guest book….the best shower in the world! We tubed and walked absolutely everywhere, averaging close to 7 miles a day. And it felt wonderful to come “home” to a neighborhood away from all the touristy stuff.

Every morning I walked to the little grocery store next to wait rose for cappuccino. unfortunately we didn’t go into M&S for food until the last day, but were very happy with what we picked up at Waitrose. We had breakfast and snacks in the flat but vacation for me means no cooking so every other meal was out.

Loved Tom’s kitchen right around the corner and the Builder’s Arm and the Painted Heron down near the thames. Had gelato almost every night at Amoricino. Preferred Sloane Square tube to South Kensington when given the choice. We did every touristy thing you are suppose to do..I had been to London a lot but second trip for my husband, first for my kids (18 and 21) End of May was ideal, no long lines anywhere including crown jewels and windsor castle except on the bank holiday. I’d avoid Harrods on the weekend and warn people that finding a cup of tea is not as easy as it used to be. The dinosaur exhibit at the natural history museum is NOT worth the wait (the only one we had all week.) There was a beautiful exhibit at the Saatchi and a farmer’s market there on Saturday. We got to the changing of the guards early but it was really a big snooze for us, with no guards outside the gates anymore it’s not fun. We bought Oyster cards but not a london pass (should have.)

My favorite thing to do in London is the Ceremony of the Keys (my kids too) and luckily we planned far enough in advance to do that.
Oh and we were very happy we used the car service. absolutely seamless.

Thank you. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend London Connection to anyone traveling there.

    21. Joan

We had a great time in London and your house was absolutely perfect for us. We enjoyed being near Sloane Square, the street was adorable and the house was just perfect. The coffee maker was not working and after we called to tell the manager, they replaced it the same day. I would totally recommend it to anyone. Your driver to and from the airport was very nice, and exactly on time.
Thanks for making this trip so effortless.

    22. Karen Hindle

The property in Godfrey St was ideal for our family of 5. We were greeted at the property, so there was no trouble with our arrival. The proximity of the property to South Kensington station meant that we arrived from Heathrow by train and headed back to the airport this way. We also accessed every corner of London from this station. We stayed for 10 days so we made use of the efficient washer and dryer. We ate in most nights, so being able to ‘pop around’ to Waitrose in the evening was terrific. The transport links from this property are fantastic and access to the heart of London is quick; whether by train or bus. We loved staying in such a desirable part of London and really loved the comfort of this property. The pillows in the master are exceptional. I don’t know whether it was because I was so tired at the end of each day, but the pillow and mattress combined felt like floating on a cloud. Try it for yourself.

    23. Susan

My family of 4 stayed at Godfrey Street for 9 days in March. We were completely happy with the property and the location. The house has enough room for everyone to spread out, yet still felt cozy in the evenings when we all wanted to hang out together. We ate all breakfasts at home and about half of our evening meals there too. We had all the kitchen gear we needed and there are several nice groceries within walking distance that have a lot of good prepared choices for take away. We were so busy during the day that it was just a lot more relaxing to go home and eat than go to a restaurant.

From the house we were only a short walk from the Sloan Square and South Kensington stops. Make sure you talk to the ticket sales agents because they saved us a ton of money over the guide book recommended passes. We also found that we loved taking the double decker buses around town to wherever we were going. They stick to their schedules and are a great way to check out people and sites.

There are a lot of restaurants and bakeries in the area. If you are there on a Saturday don’t miss the York Square market. The food is fantastic either to eat there or take home. Lots of artisanal vendors from many different nationalities.

We took advantage of using the driver to and from the airport. Both drivers were fantastic people to chat with. We got many pointers for our trips and some good insights into life in London.

We would definitely stay at Godfrey Street again and use London Connection.

    24. Robert

My family of four spent a terrific 9 nights in the property on Godfrey Street. The home is very comfortable ande the location cannot be beat. Having a Waitrose right around the corner was quite convenient, and four pubs within 5 minutes was nice as well. Easy transportation from either Sloane Square or South Kensington tube stops, Overall, hightly recommended.

    25. Amy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Godfrey Street. The location is ideal, especially for someone already familiar with London and who is interested in taking advantage of Kings Road shopping. Easy walk to Harrod’s is nice too. We had our three daughters with us, ages 7, 9 and 11 and the bedroom arrangement was perfect. I used the washing machine and dryer which was a nice convenience. I would definitely book Godfrey again if we come back to London with our family.

    26. Steve

We had a wonderful time in London, and staying at one of your properties was a big help.
We found the process for renting a property went quite smoothly. It was easy to find a property using the search criteria. Doing everything online followed by getting paperwork to sign and return was easy also.

Upon arrival at the airport, we easily found our driver, Maureen. Maureen was a great pleasure to have as a driver. She was very helpful and informative. We also simply had a great time chatting with her. She is a lovely lady.

The house at 3-104 Godfrey Street is in a very nice part of London. It is convenient to the tube, and also convenient to a grocery store, pharmacy, starbucks, and restaurants. The house itself is very charming.

    27. James

Had a wonderful time in the Godfrey Street house, which was a perfect location for exploring both the local area and London.
The house was in a very picturesque, residential street that my American friends adored and it provided us with just the right
amount of space and facilities that we needed. Washer/Dryer was a life (and luggage) saver!

Bus stop was within 2 minutes, tube was within 10 minutes and more importantly the pub was within 1 minute’s walk from the front door.
I highly recommend stocking up at Waitrose (a few minutes walk) when you arrive, a pint at the Chelsea Potter and having the London
Connection drive shuttle you from and too the airport.

    28. Peter

Overall, we had a fantastic experience spending 4 nights at Godfrey Street. The location was perfect: a 5 minute walk to the Kings Road for groceries, and about a 9 minute walk through a lovely neighborhood to the South Ken tube station, which is easily the most convenient tube stop in London. Our family of 6 (me, my wife, and 4 children ages 8-15) were extremely comfortable and truly felt “at home”. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us.

    29. Jason

We did have a lovely time in London for the couple of days we were there. If only we could have had a longer stay! It was so fun to watch the Olympic coverage after our trip. As an American trying to rent a flat from thousands of miles away i can appreciate your request for feedback. When viewing a flat you can really only go off of reviews and pictures. That being said i think your flat was as advertised. Location was great, short walk to shops, food, tube, etc. We would definitely recommend your property to friends and families.

    30. Ann

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 3-104 Godfrey Street. This was the third time my family has used London Connection, and each visit has been a pleasure. This was the first time we stayed at the Godfrey Street property and it was perfect in several ways. First, the location could not be better. A quiet neighborhood, close to good shopping and restaurants, with beautiful walks starting right at our front door. Second, the property is very “user friendly” for a family with teenage children. The fact that the furnishings were comfortable, and not too fancy, made for a relaxing stay. The wi-fi worked well, which is not always the case with rental properties. Finally, the support from London Connections, especially the airport pick up and greeting service, takes the worry out of booking an apartment as opposed to a hotel. We know that advice is only a phone call away if needed.

Looking forward to our next trip.

    31. Robin

Just wanted to let you know that we all had a fabulous trip to London. The house was perfect for us. WHAT A GREAT LOCATION!
Dave the driver, Christine and Riccardo took very good care of us.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this such a pleasant experience. Would love to do this again some time.

    32. Jerry

We had an excellent trip to London and a very nice stay at the house on

Godfrey Street. The location is excellent with easy access to buses on

King’s Road, and short walks to the Tube stations at either Sloane

Square or South Kensington. For our family of 5, the house was very

comfortable and allowed us all plenty of room to spread out for the two

weeks that we stayed. On most days we would head out in the morning to

visit a site, have lunch out, see another site, and then on the way back

to the house stop at the M&S grocery store on King’s road to pick-up

groceries for dinner. The kitchen is well equipped and having most

dinners in was pleasant and helped in keeping the costs of our trip

We arrived by train from Paris, then took the underground to Sloane

Square, and walked to Godfrey street. We called your contact from the

train station and though we were arriving about an hour ahead of our

appointment time, we were able to arrange to drop our bags at the house

while the housekeeper finished up, and we went out for lunch. From

there the check-in went very smoothly. As per other guests comments, we

can confirm that the clothes drier does take a very long time (a small

All in all it was a great place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our

      time in this house!

    33. Alan

Just a brief note to say a big thank you – the property in London at 3-104 worked out really well for us and we had a great time. It was exactly as the reports said – it just works. We will certainly remember this when we come to rent again.

    34. Dr. Thomas

Our family of six were so happy staying at Godfrey St. for almost 2
weeks, and set-up by London Connections. We really felt like we were staying
in our 2nd home in Chelsea. The arranged airport pick-up was ideal and on-
time, and the check-in was also easy and right on time.

The neighborhood was great–quiet, quaint, upscale and convenient–near bus
stops, tube, restaurants and grocery store. Our grandson loved seeing all the
neat expensive cars (Bentleys, Rolls, and Lamborghinis) on our street.

The lay-out of the townhouse worked great for our family (5 adults / 1 child).
The conservatory breakfast/dining area was cheery and bright (right next to

Our family reunion on Godfrey St was beyond our expectations.

PS Thanks to Tom for recommending the west-end show We Will Rock You It was

    35. Faye

We all enjoyed our trip to London so much, thanks in no small part to our stay at 3-104. It is situated so well and, once we figured out the bus schedules, it was so easy to get to the Underground and go all over London! And because we had a 6, 8, and 10 year old with us, it was great to have our own space to let the children stay in their pajamas one day and sightsee later!

One of the favorites of our two granddaughters was the Horse Guards Barracks, near the Churchill Museum. We went there after touring the museum and the girls were so taken with it, and the nice lady who was in the gift shop, that we made a second trip the next day to see the changing of the Guard there! You can get so much closer than Buckingham Palace. We also had caught the daily inspection of the Horse Guard the day before…who knew that Queen Victoria had such a temper!

Hope this feedback helps…we went on to Paris Disney for a week with our family and got back to COLD weather and winter, and I forgot to post a thank-you for our stay. However, I have told countless people here about London Connection and think you may be hearing from some of them! And it gave us enough of a teaser to want to return soon.
