3-12 West Street | Covent Garden (Penthouse)

Be part of London’s energy in this elegant Edwardian building directly across the street from Palace Theater, home of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!

Cambridge Circus is a fantastic location–actually, it is perfect. Cambridge Circus is world famous because LES MISERABLES played at the Palace Theatre across the street for many years. Goodness, look where you are. Leicester Square is four blocks away offering movies, a tube station, and discount ticket shops. Taxis are right out the door. Restaurants are everywhere–both fast food and fine dining. Covent Garden Square is a ten-minute walk. This property is on the 5th floor with lift in a fine period building assuring quiet and privacy, yet in the middle of one of the most exciting districts of London. Everything is immediate to the flat–ideal! A visitor can walk down Charing Cross to Leicester Square and on to the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square: Nelson’s Column, The National Gallery, The National Portrait Gallery, St. Martin in-the-fields, Equestrian Statue of Charles I. For the bit more vigorous, you could walk to Buckingham Palace in 15 minutes.

The flat is for six persons in THREE BEDROOMS and a PULL-OUT SOFA for one. The LIVING AREA is light with good floors, comfortable seating, and good space–nice and uncomplicated. The MASTER BEDROOM has two double size beds, good storage, and an EN SUITE BATHROOM. The en suite bathroom has an excellent fully-tiled shower stall, wash hand basin with marble tops, and loo. The SECOND BEDROOM has two single beds that can be joined as a UK  Super King and good storage. The SECOND BATHROOM has a good shower over the tub, marble top wash hand basin, and loo. All good quality. There is a THIRD BEDROOM with  a UK King size bed and a THIRD BATHROOM. The very nice KITCHEN has granite surfaces, hob, oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and microwave. Again, all very good quality. This is a fine property in excellent condition. Enjoy the photos. When one considers the location and the quality, it is an excellent choice. High speed wireless internet is included.

A property in this location that will sleep 6 people with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms–Wow! Very rare.

We had a fantastic time in London! The Gloucester Mansions flat was perfect for our group’s first visit to London both in terms of comfort and convenient access to countless sightseeing, dining, pub and shopping options. We were able to walk to the Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace areas comfortably and had easy Tube access to anything else we wanted to see or do (and we did a lot in just a few days!!). Prime tourist spots (Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Parliament, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Churchill War Museum, Hyde Park and more) and Wembley Stadium were all easily accessible to us by the Tube. The casino was also within a convenient walking distance. While we weren’t in town for shows, we noted that this location was right in the middle of the Theater district so numerous shows were within short walking distance. For travel planning purposes, my sister and I found traffic between Heathrow and the flat to be quite congested both during our evening arrival and morning departure. Thanks for your followup on our visit and for all the help provided by London Connection to make sure our stay was a happy one!

Just wanted to say thanks for helping make our London stay a great success. The place was as shown and the location was great. More importantly, all the people in London Connection went above and beyond to make a great experience.

We have friends going to London next year. We will be your best salesman for them to stay at one of your flats.

      Good job and thanks.

We LOVED it! The location was perfect and the layout was just what we needed. We all agreed it could not have been better.

I have family in London and they are going to recommend that anybody coming over should use London Connection.

Thanks to Shannon,Thomas and Ricardo for making everything so easy!!!!

We are back from 5 weeks in Europe, culminating in 11 wonderful days at the Gloucester Mansions apartment. We could not have asked for a better location and the apartment itself was first class. Plenty of room for our two kids (18 and 21) and you walk out the front door and you are walking distance to so many London tourist attractions.

It was well fitted out, but with all the restaurants close by, we did not test the cooking facilities. That’s what a holiday is all about.

I would have no hesitation recommending London Connection and the West St apartment to my friends and family and when we return to London I will certainly be back in contact.

Can I just add the two drivers we had were both excellent and Alex who introduced us to the apartment was very professional.

Thank you again for the opportunity of dealing with London Connection and hopefully we will be in contact some time down the track.

Our stay in the apartment was absolutely brilliant!! We couldn’t have asked for more on our last stop before we went home. I would have to say that out of all the apartments that I booked on our travels yours was the best. The apartment was spacious. My two teenage girls were so excited about having their own room after sharing for a month. The beds were incredibly comfortable!! The kitchen was great. It was great that there were basic supplies that you only used a little of and didn’t have to buy. The location of the flat was sensational! It was a little noisy but given where we were was to be expected. It was so easy to get around from there. Organizing cars to pick us up through you definitely made life easier. We will definitely use your apartments in the future. It was a very easy and wonderful experience. Thank you!!

We had a terrific time at the flat. It exceeded our expectations. It was more spacious than we expected, very clean, all the appliances worked, and a fantastic location. Our arrival and departure was very well coordinated. Thank you for a great experience.

We had a super time – with a 3 year old and a 4 month old our schedule was very unambitious. I lived there for a bit and we had family to visit there. The 3 year old very much enjoyed the London Transport Museum at Convent Garden or just riding the bus outside. The Italian restaurant across the road from the apartment was great with the kids – they even had a change table which can be a rare sighting in London. Everything went very well. Many thanks

My family & I had the pleasure of staying in this flat for 2 weeks in May 2016. We previously stayed in the flat across the hall and knew what to expect from London Connection. The service you provide, from flats in perfect locations all over town, to beautiful well maintained interiors, to suggesting The Normans car hire service, are all EXCELLENT. This flat was the perfect size for our group of 7 adults. The two couples each had a room of their own and we 3 ladies shared the master, which we dubbed “The Girls Dorm”. It was fantastic being able to stay together but having the option to close our bedroom doors when we needed privacy. I can’t stress enough how much better this is than a hotel stay. You feel like you LIVE in the neighborhood…because you DO! This flat is a great option for groups as you can congregate in the living room (instead of a hotel lobby) and still have your own bedroom to escape to. This building is a great location for people who like to walk as well as those that appreciate the Tube. It is easy walking distance to everything from theaters, to restaurants, to Buckingham Palace, to The British Museum, to the London Eye. It’s also minutes away from Leicester Square Underground Station. An added bonus is that one of my favorite restaurants in London, Le Relais de Venise, has opened a new location in Soho…just a short walk from the flat at 50 Dean Street. They only have one thing on the menu & it’s the best steak frite you’ll ever have.

Kudos to Christina for helping to make our welcome warm and our stay worry free.
All future trips to London will include one (or more) of your flats.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Gloucester mansions flat! It was exactly as promoted – 5 star accommodation all the way! With the opening of Harry Potter across the street – it was fairly noisy for the first 3 nights – but then settled down. The flat is in a great location – we walked everywhere. I would definitely recommend this flat – and would book it again on our next trip to London.

    10. Margi

As usual it was spectacular. The flat was actually much bigger than expected especially all 3 bedrooms. Not as noisy either higher up. Really enjoyed it as always!!!

We stayed at this property recently and absolutely loved it. There were three females and we had more than enough space. The location is next to literally everything you would want. The Leicester Square train station is 2 min away and a lot of places were within walking distance. We ate at Lotus, Balthazar, Circus, Simpsons at the Strand and Hawksmoor just to name a few places. We saw the show Thriller also within walking distance. Joe drove us to the airport and his knowledge of London was wonderful. We only wished he picked us up from the airport. I would definitely stay here again.

    12. Rick and Chang

We loved the flat!! It was exactly as described and pictured on the website. Despite being located at a busy cross street, the apartment was surprisingly quiet during the day and through the night.

The apartment was ideally located to the tube, shows, Chinatown and within walking distance to many tourist sites and museums.

We also took advantage of the car service to and from Heathrow. David Norman, the driver, was friendly and most importantly punctual, which was an added benefit to our vacation.

We dined at some amazing restaurants, all within 5-10 minutes walk from the apt.
      1. Bocca di Lupo- which also owns the pizza restaurant on the street level of the apartment building
      2. Lotus- Indian
      3. Gaultier- high end French, expensive but worthwhile for special occasion
      4. Vasco & Piero
      5. Clos Maggiore

Our best find in London was the Soho Theater, on Dean Street, where we saw 2 different comedy shows on the same evening.

    13. Helen

The apartment in Covent Garden, was perfect in every way for me, my children and grandchildren, 5 people in all. I was worried as to how three generations would function for eight days in a rented apartment, and also about the noise at such a busy intersection, so I really thank you for taking time to listen to my concerns, and giving me feedback about your various locations, and helping me to make my decision.

The good thing was that the apartment was as pictured, it was fully equipped, the location was fantastic, the layout was perfect for our family and there were no negative surprises. We had ample room, in fact we had a tea party one afternoon for my English family, an extra 5 adults, 4 children and two babies and had no problem with space. If the windows were open in the apartment, as expected, it was noisy, but since we were on the 5th floor, if the windows were closed it cut out most of the noise.

The location was perfect, 3 or 4 minute walk to the tube, buses outside our door, many restaurants, theatres, shops within a very short walk and even a fancy ice cream parlour on the outside of our apartment building, of course my grandsons were very happy with that.

It was so pleasant after a busy day of sightseeing, to go back to the apartment to take a break and relax, but still be able to go out in the evening as there was so much to see and do right in the neighbourhood, I must admit though, that we never felt confident that we had quite mastered the confusing streets around Covent Garden, but that was part of the fun of trying to find our way back to a certain store or restaurant.

We stayed in the 3-12 West Street appartment may 4-9, 2015. The staff of London Connection was extremely helpful in suggesting the rigt property (2 grown-ups and 3 teenagers, booking was easy and without problems. The flat was very clean and comfortable, with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms, kitchen well equipped. Great location in the middle of Soho, close to theaters, restaurants, metro, just perfect! Noice level very acceptable, had no problem (live in a small town, not used to traffic). Will definitely use London Connection for the next trip to London!
5 STARS for appartment and service!!

I stayed in 3-12 West Street in October. The flat was really nice. We had everything we could need and the staff that let us in and showed us where everything was located and how it worked were extremely helpful. This flat has plenty of space and was very quiet which was nice after a long day of walking around and exploring London. The location really can’t be beat. We literally walked out our door made a left and we were in the West End or made a right and wandered down our street to Covent Garden. The tube stop for Leicester Square was about 2 minutes from our door. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to be in a location where they can enjoy the West End or Old Compton Street. Thanks everyone at LC for an amazing trip and great place to stay!

    16. Sharon

I stayed at 3-12 West Street. This flat was large with three bedrooms and two and half baths. It was very clean with a kitchen, dining and sitting rooms. My favorite part of this flat was the shower. I love that they come down from the ceiling with large shower heads. It was a very soothing shower. I also loved being able to look out the window and watch the night life without having to be in the middle of it.

Ricardo and Christina were both very friendly and helpful
Joe was my driver both from the airport and back to the airport. He gave me a grand tour as we entered London and told me a lot of stories and history of London. He also made some suggestions of things that might be of interest to see.
Thank you so much for a great trip!

Location, location, location! Very convenient to shops, restaurants, and theatres. Extremely comfortable and well equipped. Great bathrooms. We’ve used London Connections on several occasions and have been always satisfied with service and professionalism.

We stayed at 3-12 West Street for a week in April 2014 with our daughter Tiffany and her family having stayed there for a week in June 2012 with Tar who has already posted a commdent,
In a world where we hear the term location location location this flat fits the bill to a tee if someone wants to explore most of London and if energetic to do so on foot. We walked from it to Kensington Palace this year and in 2102 walked to the Tower of London.
The area is convenient to restaurants, supermarkets and the theatre.
The facility itself is well maintained has three good sized bedrooms as well as a kitchen dining area and a decent living room with a television. The flat is wireless as well.
I havde been to London ten times over the last 20 or so years and we found that when you need a place to stay with family or friends staying in a flat really works out well.
The limo pcik up was done professionally and well and Ricardo who let us into the flat was extremely friendly, helpful and curtious. I can highly recomend this to any family who plans on spending time in London with children.

    19. D'Arcy family

What a fantastic location! We had the most marvelous vacation in this flat – large enough for our family of 6. Everything was clean and in good condition. Definitely better than staying in a hotel.
Access to the tube is excellent, though many of London’s main attractions are within walking distance. I would highly recommend the Ivy and L’Atelier right on West St, both a tad pricey but really worth it.
Don’t miss the London Eye, but book online beforehand – the queues can be really long otherwise.
In all, we were very impressed with this property, and will very likely use this company again.

We stayed at this property at the end of October. 4 kids and 3 adults. There was plenty of room for everyone and we all enjoyed our stay. Lots of storage area in the bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Apartment was clean and the central location is great for tourist attractions. Its proximity to tube stations and major attraction was great but we mostly opted to walk to nearby places. Buckingham palace and Hyde park are 10 and 25 minutes away (walking) respectively. China town and many Asian restaurants are around the corner. Although the area is very crowded, the apartment was not noisy inside. Recommend this for larger parties or families with kids.

    21. Del

The apartment was great except my Wife made us take the stairs too often! Having the bathrooms was also really handy as 5 of us were there. The Apartment was clean, well equiped and everything worked well . The location is also perfect to see many of London’s attractions.

    22. Nelson Family

The flat in London was perfect for our family vacation. There were 6 adults and we had plenty of room. We enjoyed coming back to the flat after a day of sight seeing and relaxing for a bit before we went out for dinner. The location was great and we got good use out of the tube. Two restaurants that we enjoyed close by were Jaime’s Italian and Dishoon’s.
It was a great place for our first trip to London!

I thought I would write to you about our wonderful experience at the Shaftesbury Avenue apartment.

Early on, I was impressed by the thorough nature of the reservation documents and the quick responses to my questions. Follow up as we approached our departure date was wonderful. We utilized your pick up service at Heathrow and were quite charmed by Joe and his very spacious Mercedes. He has obviously done this many times, but we appreciated his humor and his pointing out sights along the way. We also used Normans for our return trip to LHR; our driver was right on time for our 6:30AM departure, although his minivan just barely fit us. He was quite nice as well.

We were able to store our luggage at the apartment (the current residents were checking out as we arrived) and Cristina did a terrific job of walking us through the place, educating us on the washer/dryer and dishwasher operation; even showing us where the fuse box was.

As a family of 5 adults, the primary attraction for me was the apartment’s 2 1/2 bathrooms. It did not disappoint! The flat is very large and we were able to co-exist without falling all over each other. The two full baths are modern and spacious and the 1/2 bath absolutely came in handy, especially in the mornings with so many showers, hair, and make up to do. The kitchen is very modern and equipped with everything we needed; the living area very comfortable. TV operates easily; WiFi very simple to connect, although it dropped out a few times during the week (we just reset it and it was fine). Washer/dryer is a tad tricky, but we got the hang of it. The dryer takes forever, as Cristina warned us.

The bedrooms worked out perfectly for us; very nice sheets, TONS of closet storage. Great hairdryers in each bedroom; lots of light. Really, the only negative in the apartment is that the carpeting needs cleaning or replacement (very black around the edges)it’s quite noticeable because the rest of the place is in truly impeccable order. And I don’t mean to imply that your cleaning crew is failing because the flat was spotless other than the aging carpet.

No A/C was not an issue for us because London was having its coldest spring in 50 years. The open windows brought in welcome cool air. Looking out over Cambridge Circus was great; quite a bustling area, so BE AWARE. I love street noise, however others may not. There is a fire station around the corner and there are sirens throughout the night. Also, because this is Soho, there are folks out drinking, gambling, clubbing, yelling, singingat all hours. Again, I thrive on this, and those in our party who did not, actually got used to it and slept right through it.

Proximity to Leicester Square tube stop is great. And there’s a wonderful, wonderful coffee shop around the corner on the way to the tube. We think the entry hall shares a wall (and a mysterious door) with Atelier de Joel Robuchon. The Ivy is just down the street.

This was our first rental experience in London and it was a good one. We were well located for getting to the sights; easy to grab a cab when we needed one; and great things to see just walking around the immediate area. I doubt we will ever have need of such a large flat again, but based on this experience, we would definitely use London Connections again.

    24. Jonathan

We had a wonderful stay at the Shaftesbury apartment in London. The location was fantastic, and it was a great layout for our family. The apartment was in excellent condition, and we had no problems. Also, we were given great help. The driver showed us so many sights on the way into the city, and Christina very kindly explained everything about the unit once we arrived. We would certainly enjoy using your service again.

    25. Lisa

We loved the London property. The location was excellent and the accommodations were perfect for our needs. The man that let us in was very helpful as well. Thank you very much!

    26. Linda

We loved the apartment. It was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Although the apartment is in a busy area, it is on the 6th floor so the noise from the traffic was only really noticed when sirens from emergency vehicles were heard.

The let-in staff in London were very helpful in terms of allowing us to have a parcel delivered to them ahead of our visit and storing our luggage after checkout until our evening flight. They also gave us advise on where the nearest supermarket was.

The apartment was in a great location. We found that we hardly used the underground as we walked everywhere since the apartment was within easy walking distance to many of London’s attractions. On New Year’s Eve we walked down to the embankment then across to Piccadilly and onto the Mall where we watched the fireworks from the Horse-guards parade ground.

In our previous trips to London we have stayed near Lancaster Gate/ Bayswater area and in Chelsea, but the apartment on Shaftesbury Avenue was much more central and convenient, especially with young adult children who wanted to go out on their own. There are a number of restaurants close by and we were spoilt with the choice.

We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely stay here again.

    27. Phil

We were very happy with the property. The location was great and the facilities excellent.
I also found Cristina to be very helpful. The scheduled let-in appointment was not until 8.30am, but after texting her at 7.10am to let her know I was on the Gatwick Express and on my way, she arranged to be at the apartment just after 8am, arriving to let me in only a few minutes after I’d got there. That was really appreciated.

Overall we were very happy and would definitely consider staying at the property again.

      Many thanks

    28. Linda

I just wanted to thank you and the support staff in London for all your help organising our accommodation for our recent trip.

The apartment was fabulous and in a great location. We found that we hardly used the underground as we walked everywhere. In our previous trips to London we have stayed near Lancaster Gate/ Bayswater and in Chelsea, but the apartment on Shaftesbury Avenue was much more central and convenient, especially with young adult children who wanted to do their own thing.

We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely stay here again.
All the very best for 2013.

    29. Kate

We loved it! The place was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. You run a top-notch operation. The location was unbeatable. . .close to everything and the tube five minutes away. Personally, we love a place with a window on the outside world which this particular apartment did not have. To most people that probably doesn’t matter. Last time we booked with London Connection we stayed at Parliament Place. Fabulous for it’s phenomenal view; we felt entertained just sitting and drinking tea, but a bit more remote in terms of being the center of activity. We will definitely book with you again. And we LOVE David Norman.

    30. Tara

The flat is extremely well located for someone requiring three bedrooms and who wishes to be able to walk much of this very easily traversed city. the rooms are large enough to easily sleep two in each room. the living room and dining room area are also very nicely done and usable. As one who has been to London many times and stayed in hotels I found this a good alternative and in fact a better one. The kitchen allows you to breakfast at home without the hassle of looking for a place to eat. On the other hand there are many good, good value and easily reached places to eat at every level within blocks of the flat.

I would strongly recommend this flat to anyone with children since it affords them the opportunity to live in London rather than merely visit in a hotel.

      I hope this helps,
