4-1 Sloane Gardens Mews | Belgravia House

Sloane Square is one of the most desirable areas in central London. This reputation is due to the upscale restaurants, shopping, excellent transportation, and fine houses and flats. Sloane Square Tube Station has both the Circle and District lines which offer excellent transportation throughout central London. There is one real benefit to living in the residential areas around Sloane Square; it is quiet. London Connection is offering this mews house in a very quiet location just off Lower Sloane Street, across the street from the Sloane Club. The location is amazing. The accommodation is a three-minute walk to the Sloane Square Station, 5 minutes to the Duke of York Plaza on King’s Road, and ten minutes to Harrods. Carafini, a very famous Italian restaurant, is just on the corner; along Lower Sloane Street a visitor will find an Italian market, a small food market, a tailor, and wonderful antique shops — some of the finest in London. Many of the best designer shops are along Pimlico Road and Holbein Place. These include Lord Linley’s retail store. The historic Royal Hospital of Charles II is around the corner, and a lovely walk through Eaton Square is five minutes distance. It is perfect. I love the walk up Sloane Street past Cadogan Square and the old Cadogan Hotel. Lilly Langtree lived on Pont Street, just up the way.

This house is on three floors with all the charm and beauty one would expect in this affluent area. On the ground floor, there are TWO BEDROOMS–one with two singles, and one with a UK King size bed. A washer/dryer is located in a hidden cupboard in the single bedroom. A full BATHROOM with a walk-in shower, wash hand basin, and loo is adjacent to these two bedrooms. Up a small flight of original period stairs one will find an elegant LIVING ROOM filled with beautiful paintings, 18th century furniture, and fine bronze sculptures including a large pair of bronze polo ponies and riders. The DINING TABLE in a separate eating area will seat six/seven persons. The KITCHEN has all machines including microwave, oven and hob, and dishwasher. On the top floor of this lovely mews are the THIRD AND FOURTH BEDROOMS with good storage and large windows, one with UK King size bed and the other is a large double. Each bedroom on this floor has its own EN SUITE BATHROOM, one with a shower stall, sink, loo and the other bathroom with tub, shower, and loo. The bedrooms are filled with beautiful decorative items. There are two televisions–one in the master bedroom and one in the lounge. High speed wireless internet is included. Property is designated non-smoking.

A mews property of this size and quality is a very rare offering for short-let visitors to London. They are such desirable properties, and a visit to London in this accommodation is fantastic. Imagine, four bedrooms and three bathrooms in a mews house just off Sloane Square in Belgravia. Fantastic indeed. If you are in this budget, this is a first rate property. Visitors to this accommodation must be aware of the fabulous collection of artwork and 18th century furniture in the house and be willing to enjoy while being careful in these surroundings. This is a far cry from a casual beach house in Florida. You will love staying here. It is really fabulous. By the way, my favorite restaurant in London, Como Lario,  is just around the corner on Holbein Place. Perfect!

We enjoyed our stay at Holbein Mews very much! The London Connection team made everything very easy and the customer service was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised by how many restaurants and shops were within walking distance of the flat… we spent lots of time exploring the local neighborhood and found some wonderful restaurants (Carraffini and the Botanist were 2 favorites). Partridges was amazing too… great for a quick bite to eat, or to pick up snacks. Overall the location was perfect for us, and we’d stay there again.

The flat was well appointed and we enjoyed the beautiful artwork. Our only challenge was the plumbing in our upstairs bath… difficult to get the temp right in the shower (HOT or COLD) and the water pump was very loud. Otherwise all was good.

We loved all of the Christmas lights around town, and Sloan Square/Belgravia were so festive.

Wishing you and the team at London Connection a very happy new year, and we’ll most definitely recommend you to our friends and family.

We had a great trip with 3 generations of family.

The property was fantastic as was the location. We ate in every breakfast and had a couple of dinners (mostly prepared food from Partridges) in after particularly busy days. Everybody loved the place and we all enjoyed hanging together in the living room after running around London. We ate at some very nice restaurants well within walking distance, Enoteca Turi and The Orange Public House. My parents also went to La Poule au Pot, a French restaurant a few blocks away. They last ate there in the 1980’s. The Sloane Square tube stop being about 3 minutes away made getting around town a breeze.

The car service worked beautifully as well.

Nothing but compliments from us. We’d do again if we return to London.

Our stay at Holbein Mews was great. Very comfortable, had everything we needed and is in a fantastic location. Your booking and check in process was seamless and your ground staff were very helpful. In all, our interaction with London Connection was a great experience. Thank you.

The only hesitation we had was the hoping that the apartment actually existed as a real place to book given the recent publicity around Airb’n’b fake listings. We did check your website and London Connection details as thoroughly as we could which is why we went ahead but were still a bit nervous given you required full payment upfront. There were 7 of us, and finding somewhere else on short notice might have been an issue. Not to mention the money! It is a sad indictment on our international community that this is a problem we need to consider. And this is the reason why we didn’t use any Airb’n’b accommodation anywhere on our trip. We booked hotels in Europe and the English countryside and Holbein Mews in London was the only private residence we booked. We were very pleased you are legitimate, and have told friends in Australia about your company and the great experience we had with you all as a result.

Our stay went well The apartment suited the needs of our group and was a good value. The neighborhood location was excellent. Fell in love with the coffee shop around the corner (Tuscaic), eating dinner there once and getting coffee most mornings. Went to the neighborhood pub (Fox & Hounds) a couple of evenings – interesting local crowd. As far as experiences in London, it was London, one of my favorite places in the world! Went on several London Walks tours, including a private tour of Westminster Abbey and a day trip to Cambridge. Took in a play and did some shopping.

    5. Linda

It was unanimous- best location possible!
All 8 of us are raving to all about the great house, location and shopping.
We went in teams during the day, but would all meet back at the sitting room to discuss adventures, have some wine, then decide where to go for dinner. There were so many options in the area. And the tube being close made the before theater dinner so convenient. Exquisite Sunday roast at The Star Tavern. Very friendly and had vegetarian options. Then nice walk in Hyde Park afterwords.

Everyone had plenty of space and hot water during our stay. Felt like we had a good traditional London experience at the Mews. Loved the art work.

My daughter ended up working the majority of the time, and had no issues with Wifi.

Found a new place for tea that was quite an experience. Three of us went to Sketch and felt quite pampered by the Tea Master and Mr. Caviar. The restroom was a whole experience in itself. I recommend it highly. Top two highlights of trip were Sketch and War Rooms.

Our visit to London was superb! We really enjoyed our stay at Holbein Mews, the location was great and the appartment was really nice. So neat, tidy and clean.

We didn´t really use either the kitchen, nor the dining and living rooms. We left out early every morning and came back really late. The kids and my wife didn’t want to leave London.

We had an awesome time! Thanks very much for keeping in touch, we will definitely contact you next time we go to London.

The trip was fabulous. Really enjoyed the history and beauty of London. The many Christmas markets and many, many holiday decorations were the icing on the cake. Our time in London was made so much better because of the beautiful flat. Having a common area and bedrooms enough for everyone to have privacy at the end of the day was really nice. We could start out the day refreshed because we were in a safe and comfortable location and really felt a part of our neighborhood. Definitely would recommend it to others. Only 2-3 blocks to the Tube and bus so it was a perfect location. Beautiful flat and London is beautiful over the Christmas holiday!

Many thanks to you and all of the very helpful people at London Connection.

We loved staying at Holbein Mews. It was perfect. The accommodation is beautiful and well equipped and it is in the most perfect location. We took in the Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the Mall and Greenwich. We were able to buy coffee and takeout meals close by but also hit the Sainsbury’s to cook at home. The Mews is so comfortable – it was a lovely place to return to after a long day of sightseeing.

Many thanks for a wonderful stay in London.

We really enjoyed having a flat in London rather than 4 hotel rooms — it was much more of a family trip that way. We hauled a bunch of food and wine in from M&S for breakfast and snacks (love that store — way better than groceries in my part of the world!). We had a really nice dinner at Como Lario around the corner, and we also really enjoyed the food we found in pubs — Thai food at the Rose & Crown and good pub grub at The Rising Sun, a flight of meat pies at the Bank of England.

We absolutely loved the house and its location to Sloane Square and the surrounding area was fabulous. The attention to detail and the service that you offered was second to none. We are keen to book again for next year and I will certainly be back in contact with you again. The only downside was that we could not get the property for the Sunday before. I have been raving about the company to my colleagues who come over to London from the US a lot.

thanks for a fabulous house in a fabulous location!

My family was very pleased with the location. Short walk to tube, easy to get to Partridges on Kings Road (which is a marvelous place) and also Marks & Spencer just a bit further down. We very much liked Cristina who met us when we arrived and David who took us to airport. We hosted some family members who were also in London at that time and there was plenty of silverware, plates, glasses, etc. for a meal together. My other family members were staying at Eaton Mews which they liked very much also. We could walk the distance between the two places. Also I liked to take the C1 bus between the two mews for a few blocks to save a few steps. Ha! I had stayed at the Godfrey Street address a couple of years ago and we liked the convenience there also.
The London Connection staff couldn’t have been more helpful and courteous. Next time I venture to London I plan on contacting you guys for a place to stay.

We were absolutely delighted by the property, the location and the service provided by the local staff. It says a lot that there was not one complaint from any of the six women in my group! I would not hesitate to recommend the property to anyone who wants to experience the best with regard to. Comfort and location. Thanks to all at theLondon Connection for a great vacation experience,

    13. Aaron

Absolutely delightful property to stay at in a beautiful area and highly accessible. The entire experience of renting from start to finish with the London Connection staff were top notch, and I will be utilizing their services again in the future.

    14. Kelly

      Location & Charm!!
This gem is perfect for a family. With 2 bedrooms situated on the first and third flora- The space is comfortable and could even accommodate a family on each floor!
Thomas and his team are very honest and deliver a top product.
And there is no better area than Sloane Square. Refined and sophisticated- this an area most Londeners would love to live in!
Check out local favorite “Thomas Cubitt” for on nearby Elizabeth Street in Belgravia for dinner or brunch. “Colbert” is the new hotspot and “it scene” in Sloane Square- reservations are recommended or you can drop by the bar and “Botanist” will still draw a crowd on Weekend evenings.
If you feel like a more laid back environment wander 10 minutes down the King’s Road to “The Stockpot” – a Chelsea tradition and good value for a meal. And the “Sydney Arms” on Sydeny Street is a casual pub worth visiting.

    15. Becky

We enjoyed our stay in this house. The location was superb. It was a two minute walk to the tube station, which gave us easy access to all of London. It was in a nice part of the city, but it was not as quiet as we had thought. We used the well-equipped kitchen for breakfast and dinner, which is ideal for a family vacation. Eating three meals a day in restaurants with children is not only expensive but also time-consuming and tiring. We made this house our home for our week in London, and it was a far better choice than a hotel.

    16. Kenneth

We had a wonderful stay at the Sloane Garden Mews, which contributed in large part to our fabulous visit to London. We were traveling with family, seven in all and were able to find our couples privacy in the four bedrooms on the ground and second floors and to make great use of the common space on the first floor. Our niece was odd person out and got her own room. We made use of the kitchen every morning and the living and dining areas every evening as we alternatively shared plans or adventures for the day. We enjoyed the furniture, the artwork, the curios; it all created a comfortable and interesting-to-investigate setting.

Most of all we enjoyed the location. Two of our best dinners, and our best lunch in London were around the corner from the apartment, either on Orange Square or on Sloane Square. The Fox and the Hound offered a cozy evening drink before dinner, the Saatchi Gallery had some of the best contemporary art in their display that we have seen anywhere, the access to the tube was every bit as easy as advertised, and besides the best lunch, the Daylesford Organic Cafe also had wonderful cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit and vegetables.

We were all over London for five days by foot, tube and cab. We used your driving service, which did a great job getting us from Heathrow to the apartment, and check-in was informative and helpful, besides everyone being so nice.

    17. Brandy

We absolutely loved the townhouse!! It was such a great location and very well appointed. In particular, I was thrilled to find numerous adapters for US to UK!! The original purpose of our trip was to attend the Chelsea Flower Show, which ended up being right around the corner it could not have been more convenient. Also, the Chelsea area felt very comfortable and easily navigable. We felt like we were in the heart of things rather than being in a touristy area. If the opportunity presented itself, I would stay here again.

Many thanks for all your hospitality and kindness,

    18. David

We enjoyed our stay very much. While the property was exactly as advertised, and perfect for our group of 3, it would have been crowded with all 4 bedrooms occupied.

We know the area well, having stayed in that part of London (Chelsea/Knightsbridge/S. Kensington/Belgravia) at least a dozen times. Some of our favorite restaurants are Star of India, Racine’s, and the Harwood Arms. We really like the Saturday morning farmer’s markets, both at the Barracks,on King’s Road and on Fulham Rd. For first time visitors, the food court at Harrod’s is a must-see.

Also, we have found that being over 60 has its advantages in London, and that concessionaire discounts should be asked for. Theater tickets are discounted up to 66%, and most other admissions also have a lower rate.

    19. Clinton

This flat was wonderful. Lots of space and a washer and a separate dryer that worked quite well. It was very close to the tube stop and the market. The art collection in the flat was also quite amazing.

    20. Chris

The location was excellent. Being a block from the Sloane Square tube stop made getting around the city a breeze. Even when we had to take a taxi, it was easy to catch one right outside the house – we never waited more than a minute for a taxi. Great shopping, a grocery store, a pharmacy and good restaurants were all within an easy walk. I felt close to the action, while tucked back in a quieter neighborhood, which was nice. The house was comfortable and warm, which was perfect after spending a day sightseeing in the chilly London air. The nice big fridge, oven and dishwasher made it feel just like home. The wifi internet connection was fast.

    21. Anne

The flat was, quite simply, perfect. We were seven adults (three married couples + me) in London to celebrate my 40th birthday and the flat could not have been a better fit. The space was just right, enough so that we could spread out, but cozy enough that we felt like we were in a proper English Mew house. Especially impressive was the amount of hot water! I don’t know how big the hot water heater must be, but to provide for seven hot showers every morning! The convenience also could not be beat, we made great use of the neighborhood itself as well as access to the Tube. I have been singing the praises of the flat and, will be a repeat customer!

I rented this house for the week of the Queens jubilee with my cousin, her daughter, and granddaughter . This house was perfect for our needs .

The house is lovely and filled with antiques and art . I loved the historical articles on the wall about the Royal Family as you went up the stairs .

We each had our own bedroom with en suite bathroom . I got the one with the large bathtub which was a plus for me ! The bedrooms upstairs were cozy and comfortable .

The living room, kitchen, and dining room are on the second floor and provided a beautiful and comfortable place to gather . The kitchen was clean and functional . The dining room was very elegant .

This is a mews house in one of the best locations in London. Everything was a short walk away . Sloane Square
is beautiful and rich with history .

We couldn’t have done better and the price was very good . Be sure and visit Mr. Thomas Moores website. It is excellent .
The bonus to the house was David the driver. He was fun, informative and a pleasure to be with.

The apartment occurs over three floors with the living room and kitchen taking up all of the middle floor. There are two bedrooms on each of the top and bottom floors, with comfortable beds and plenty of cupboard space. The apartment contains an eclectic mix of artwork, photos and knick-knacks, which makes for interesting viewing. Good wifi, well equipped kitchen and easy-to-use laundry facilities.

We were met on arrival by a lovely lady who made us feel welcome and showed us around quickly but efficiently. The visitors notes provide all of the information you need for a hassle-free stay in the apartment.

The apartment has a great location close to Sloane Square with its shops, ATM facilities and a taxi stand. Unfortunately when we visited in early July 2012, in summer, there was construction work occurring next door which meant that windows could not be left open in the bedrooms on that side of the house.
All in all a lovely place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends.

    24. Jane

We had the most wonderful stay. The home is lovely. With my daughters wedding, we were very busy, and the house was a welcome respite from the chaos. I cannot say enough good things about your business. Everything was perfect. The young man that met us at the house to give us the keys and tour was so helpful. He gave us information about local restaurants, and we had great meals thanks to his tips.

I would not change a thing, and I would recommend your home to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet flat in a great neighborhood.

      Thanks
